Monday: Galapagos Cruise- Santa Cruz Highlands Today, we land on Baltra Island, and embark on our exciting cruise of the legendary Galapagos archipelego. This afternoon, we explore the highlands of Santa Cruz, the central island of the chain, where short distances display immense scenic and climatic diversity, and also the best place to see the famous Galapagos giant tortoises. We also climb into one of the island's incredible lava tunnels, lit up to display incredible geological formations. Tuesday: Galapagos Cruise-Egas Port/Santiago and Bartholomew Santiago Island is one of the most scenic islands in the Galapagos chain, and the black-sand beach at Egas Port, sandstone formations, and magnificent grottos, make for great back-drops for viewing its wildlife, including marina iguanas, sea-lions, and giant red crabs. The nearby Bartholomew Island has a surreal,almost Martian, desert landscape, and the view of the surrounding from "The Pinnacle" is a great reward for the steep climb. Wednesday: Galapagos Cruise- Dragon Hill and North Seymour The climb to dragon-hill, a prehistoric nesting site for large, yellow, land iguanas, starts with a landing at a lagoon frequented by flamingos. This is the first chance to see both of these species, and is one of the highlights of this trip. North Seymour Island is one of the most visited islands on the chain, and with good reason: this small piece of land is encircled by an absolutely stunning coastline, with some of the world's most magnificent waves, and hosts large colonies of sea-lions, marine iguanas, land-iguanas, as well as the famous blue-footed boobies and red greater Frigate birds. The wildlife is everywhere you look! Thursday: San Cristobal Our cruise ends with a short excursion to Bachas Beach, where we hope to view some the green sea-turtles that make it their nesting site. Our Galapagos adventure continues, as we fly to San Cristobal, one of the largest and most beautiful islands of the chain. This island hosts San Cristobal Village, the official "capital" of the Galapagos, but the true owners are the ever present sea lions, who inhabit the beaches, streets, and even the benches one of the most beautiful islands in the chain After an exciting afternoon of wild-life spotting, snorkeling, and swimming, we spend the night at one of the island's best hotels
Friday: San Cristobal- Kicker Rock A speed-boat takes us to one of the icons of the Galapagos, the 500 foot high kicker rock, which juts straight out of the ocean, and serves as a nesting ground for blue-footed boobies, Nazca boobies, and other species. We return to San Cristobal for a lovely shabbos at our beach-front hotel, where sea-lions run the show! Sat: San Cristobal Today we enjoy a relaxed shabbos at our lovely hotel on the San Cristobal Waterfront. In addition to the Shabbos vibe, we enjoy a shabbos walk with a difference in the streets of this village, where the benches appear to be for "sea-lions only."
Sun: San Cristobal Highlights San Cristobal has some of the most pristine beaches in the world, and some of the best wild-life in the region. Today, we explore some of the highlights of this region, by foot, car, and boat. Attractions we could visit include Lobos Island, Espanola Island, Cerro Brujo, or Punta Pitt. Mon: activity and depart This morning can be spent at leisure enjoying the gorgeous beaches, trails, and wildlife of San Cristobal. We board an afternoon flight to Guayaquil, where you connect with your international flights back home.
