OVERNIGHT CAMP CAMPERS GRADES 3-9 CAMP LIFE AND STAFF LEADERSHIP With beautiful views from the covered porches, our camper cabins are nestled along the shores of Lake Nichecronk. Girls live on the south shore and boys live on the north shore. Bunk-bed cabins hold about 10 campers and 2 counselors, with a staff to camper ratio of about one to five. Bathhouses, with hot showers, are centrally located about 100 feet from the cabins. Cabin Interior Our counselors are a big reason your child will want to come back year after year! We select only the most caring and talented young adults to be role models for our campers. About 70% of our leaders were campers at Camp Speers! Staff participate in first aid and life guarding courses, receive certifications for the skills they are teaching, and attend staff orientation week trainings. Each staff member is interviewed, reference and background checked by our year round staff team. The Health Lodge is the home of a team of healthcare professionals who provide consistent care for our campers throughout the summer. In the beautiful Speers Dining Hall, our food service team provides three wellbalanced meals and a snack each day. Campers sit with their cabin group and dine together family style. The menu is delicious and diverse, for example: breakfast might be pancakes or waffles, lunch we enjoy tacos and pizza, for dinner we offer spaghetti and meatballs or Thanksgiving dinner with all the sides. We offer a salad or fruit bar option at most meals. Camp can accommodate a variety of dietary needs and restrictions, with nutritious options.
