They provide opportunities for sporting events all year long and make it a great spot to compete in. Use this guide as a resource when planning your next sporting event in. Read through descriptions of each venue with the Facility Roster (pages -5) or look for sport-specific accommodations with the Inventory Quick Reference (pages 6-8). Take a look at our hotels (page 9) to find the perfect place for your athletes and fans to stay. A map with facility and hotel locations is also included for your reference. Facility Roster Alphabetically A t h l e t i c ( T. H. J o h n s o n ) P a r k Athletic Park is 3.5 acres consisting of one softball field with sheltered dugouts and bleacher seating for 00. Three tennis courts are also located in this park. B u r n a p ) P a r k This 6.9 acre park is host to Big Friday youth baseball playoffs. It has one softball field with sheltered dugouts and bleacher seating for 00, and four tennis courts. Amenities include indoor bathrooms and concessions area, drinking fountains, a sheltered picnic area, electrical outlets, horseshoe pits and a playground. 506 Birch Ave W 28-332-5800 www.ci.fergus-falls.mn.us C l e v e l a n d E l e m e n t a r y S c h o o l Cleveland School has an outdoor field that can be used for football or soccer with its interchangeable goal posts. Next to the field is an outdoor hockey rink and a warming house. Indoors is a gymnasium, divisible into two basketball courts or two volleyball courts. C o m m u n i t y A r e n a The Community Arena has two NHL-sized sheets of ice that can be used for hockey and figure skating. Recreation offices, a community room, locker rooms, a figure skating room, concessions and skate sharpening are in the building. The main arena seats 870, including wheelchair accessibility and a press area on the upper level. The north arena has a seating capacity of 324 and wheelchair seating. The main arena is 3,700 square feet and the north arena is 22,850 square feet. 340 Friberg Ave 28-332-5800 www.ci.fergus-falls.mn.us D e L a g o o n R e c r e a t i o n A r e a DeLagoon Park is a sports destination consisting of 92 acres. It is home to the American Legion baseball field and the new Farmer s baseball field. The fields have bleacher seating for 700 and 00, respectively, scoreboards, sheltered dugouts, press box, indoor bathrooms and two outdoor batting cages. A softball complex that consists of five fields, and the American Legion soccer complex, consisting of four fields, are also in DeLagoon Park. Drinking fountains, concession stands, bleachers, indoor restrooms and a playground are also amenities which make this park a popular destination. The indoor range is located in south. The outdoor range is located southwest of. The indoor range is 40 yards wide and 200 yards long and is used for many events including: bowling pin shoots, cowboy action shooting, hunter sight-in and general outdoor shooting activities. The gym has six baskets that can be used as either one full basketball court or split into two courts. It can also accommodate volleyball with up to three courts on the floor. The building has three locker rooms and a concession stand. An additional smaller gym with bleacher seating is located on campus, as well as a soccer field and a football field, which include a concession stand and press box. 60 Hillcrest Drive 28-739-337 www.ffhillcrest.org K e n n e d y S e c o n d a r y S c h o o l Kennedy High School has new facilities with two large gymnasiums to provide plenty of opportunities for a variety of sports. The Gold Gym can be divided into three basketball or volleyball courts and the Maroon Gym can be split into two basketball or volleyball courts. Bleacher seating with a capacity of 2,200 and 700 is in the respective gyms. Kennedy offers a stunning new football stadium with artificial turf, concession and ticket stands, bleacher seating for,800 and an eight-lane track. On site there is also a six-lane swimming pool, two soccer fields and eight tennis courts. The facility hosts winter paper target leagues and 3D leagues. Indoor facilities include a gymnasium that can be divided into two basketball or two volleyball courts and can seat approximately 500, two locker rooms (equipped with handicap accessible showers), an indoor batting cage, an exercise room, weight room and a concession stand. N o r t h e r n A i r e L a n e s Northern Aire Lanes has 20 lanes with electronic scoring. Bowling balls and shoes are available for rent and lockers are also available. A diner is located on site. The course rating is 72.3 and it has a slope rating of 28 on Blue Grass. The park includes one softball field with dugouts and bleachers for 75. Facility Roster Cont. S p i d a h l S k i G a a r d Spidahl Ski Gaard offers 24 km (5 mi) of classical and skate groomed cross country ski trails ranging from beginner to expert difficulty levels. All trails are marked for difficulty level and are continuous one-way loops that bring you back to the lodge. The warming area is a cozy place to take a break between runs with its Jotul wood-burning stove and restrooms. Trail Passes, snacks and equipment are available at the rental center. The facility includes two high school size gymnasiums, three racquet ball courts, a group exercise studio, a group cycling studio, a four-lane, 25-meter swimming pool and a /0 th mile, four-lane running/walking track. There is also a wellness center and a large free-weight room. Youth locker rooms as well as adult locker rooms with saunas are available. Other amenities include a youth activity room and a community room with a full size commercial kitchen. The track includes a PA system, concessions, lighting, bathrooms and a viewing area that can hold 300+ spectators. I - 9 4 S p e e d w a y The I-94 Speedway is a Wissota sanctioned 3/8 mile high banked dirt track with a top-5 position scoreboard/lap counter and a large screen, high resolution, full color video display. The track has seating capacity of 7,000 and a tailgating section that can hold 00-20 vehicles. There are main grandstand concessions along with pit area concessions and a PA system in the north and south grandstands, tailgating area and pit area. Restrooms are in the lower level of the building and the pits have showers and restrooms that are handicap accessible.
