In attendance: Nick Alford, Kim Appleby, Rav Atwal, Lisa Bartholomew, Fiona Brown, Sarah Flemming, Sheila Harris, Nicky Joyce, Morris, Kate Murray, Suzanne Niznik, Kathy Radke, Nicky Urwin. Nicky Joyce was welcomed members to the meeting. 3. Minutes of the last meeting: The minutes of the last meeting held on 26 th April 2016 were agreed as an accurate record and signed. 4. FOG events since the last meeting The Chair explained that FOG now have a 10x15 metal apex storage shed. The meeting thanked the Governors for their financial contribution. The shed now has some racking and guttering and an inventory of the contents has been completed. At the previous meeting, Kim Appleby suggested that it would be useful if Coopers could donate boards saying Friends of Glebe. These boards could be used when selling disco wristbands etc. to clearly highlight FOG s presence. Karen Hampshire contacted Coopers and they generously donated a teardrop banner. This was used at the Summer Fayre and will be used at future events. The meeting expressed thanks to Kim Appleby, Karen Hampshire and to Coopers. FOG were delighted to purchase commemorative coins for every Glebe pupil to mark The Queen s ninetieth birthday. These were presented to the children on 10 th June. It was agreed that these were a nice keepsake & were well received.

The Summer Fayre took place on Saturday 11 th June. It was agreed that it was a great event. It was an excellent opportunity to showcase the school and attracted lots of support and positive feedback. The Chair confirmed that it was a great team effort and extended thanks to everyone for working so hard to make it such a fun and successful day. The Treasurer announced the following: On the day takings: 8604.61 Expenses: 4301.91 Profit: 4302.70 On Friday 17 th June, FOG sold refreshments, sweets and toys at the Glebe vs Breakspear netball match. 5. FOG contribution to school Currently, FOG s bank balance is 12,665.82. FOG has the following forthcoming expenses: Beck Theatre Cinderella panto tickets 2280 In house panto 595 Disco 700 As a result, the meeting agreed to donate 4,500 to the school. 2000 will be donated for playground markings by Sovereign. 2500 will be donated towards a Friend Ship. This would be coordinated by Mrs Sheldon as part of the friendship scheme. The Friend Ship will be a focal point in the playground with a sail canopy, where children can come to talk and be befriended. Mr Alford has devised a proforma for future funding requests. The Treasurer explained that FOG will not be moving their bank account to Metro Bank as there were various hidden charges, such as a 2% charge every time money is withdrawn or deposited. The FOG account will remain with Barclays. Online banking will be applied for & the Chair will be added onto the account. 6. FOG noticeboards Mr Alford agreed to ask Mr Budden to put up the FOG noticeboards. The location was discussed.

7. Forthcoming events FOG will be selling refreshments at the Sports Days & the Chair appealed for volunteers: 5 th July 2016 (KS1) Fiona Rav Sheila Kim Friday 8 th July 1016 (KS2) Suzanne Julia Kim Monday 11 th July 2016 (Reception & Nursery) Fiona Suzanne Sheila Kathy Nicky Vicky FOG will purchase 600 rocket ice lollies for the children. These will be distributed by staff. The End of Term Discos will take place on Tuesday 19th July. Wristbands will be on sale from the week commencing Monday 4 th July. 8. Planning for academic year 2016-17 MEETINGS Tuesday 20 th September 2016, 7pm AGM & Meeting Tuesday 17 th January 2017, 7pm Tuesday 25 th April 2017, 7pm Tuesday 27 th June 2017, 7pm EVENTS A welcome gathering with refreshments for Reception parents in the hall will

take place after school drop off on Tuesday 6 th September 2016. This will be advertised in the Glebe welcome pack and mentioned by Mr Alford at the welcome meeting. From Friday 30 th September 2016 and every Friday throughout the Autumn Term, FOG will be selling Beck Theatre Panto tickets for Cinderella on 15.12.2016. These will be sold on a first come, first served basis. Thursday 13 th October 2016 Bags2School FOG will be selling Firework tickets for the Fireworks Night at Chalfont St. Peter Scout grounds on Sunday 6 th November, 5.30pm. Thursday 3 rd November 2016 - Spooky Sparkle Disco. Neil the DJ has been booked. Monday 19 th December 2016 in-house panto Aladdin. Friday 24 th March 2017 Mother s Day Shop. The Chair explained that many gifts have already been purchased for this event. Thursday 30 th March 2017 Easter Disco. Neil the DJ has been booked. The 2017 Summer event was discussed. It was agreed not to do another fayre in 2017 and alternative ideas were discussed. An afternoon family

festival was suggested called Glebe Fest 17. This would be a more low-key event than the fayre, whereby folk would bring their own picnics, drinks, rugs and chairs and enjoy music and games co-ordinated by a DJ. There would be a raffle and auction hosted by Mr Alford. There would also be games and activities, such as the beauty stall, a photo booth and face painting. [Secretary s note: Saturday 10 th June 2017 confirmed]. Thursday 20 th July 2017 End of Term Disco. Neil the DJ has been booked. 11. Any Other Business: It was suggested that FOG could purchase ice pops, lollies or ice creams and sell these after school. The purchase of an ice trolley was discussed. It was agreed that this idea would be trialed and an ice trolley would be purchased if the trial proved successful. It was announced that Kathy Radke and family will be moving to Alabama on the 24 th July. The meeting wished them all the best for the move and every happiness in their new home. It was also explained that the children of Julia Macleod & Karen Vaul will be moving on to secondary school in September. The meeting expressed their heartfelt thanks and gratitude to Kathy, Julia and Karen for their invaluable dedication, commitment and hard work over the years. 12. Date of Next Meeting: Tuesday 20 th September 2016, 7pm AGM & Meeting in the School Hall. The meeting closed at 8.03pm.
