aeris aeris medium & large applications Landscaped areas Car parks Amenity areas Town squares Retail parks Entrance roads Parks A eris successfully combines a low profile contemporary design with exceptional technical performance. Combined with its complementary range of columns and brackets, Aeris enhances the environment with its daytime appearance when used in a variety of applications. Aeris shields the night sky, providing full cut-off of light at and above the horizontal plane without compromising performance. Horizontal lamp optics offer an array of well-defined distributions while internal shields control stray light along property lines. The Aeris high performance optical design reduces energy consumption, controls spill light and reduces glare, while addressing the needs for enhanced visibility. Aeris is available in two sizes, medium and large.

aeris aeris segmented optics The Aeris range provides night-time performance as dramatic as its daytime appearance. High performance optics make the best use of new efficient lamps, resulting in low energy consumption. Specular segmented optic reflectors are precisely tuned for improved performance particularly at lower mounting heights maintaining proper scale with the luminaire and its environment. With the addition of an LED option that is thermally managed to ensure maximum LED performance and life the Aeris Medium is the complete light source solution. A choice of up to five distribution types provides effective coverage of roadways, car parks, walkways, building perimeters and campus environments. All reflectors are rotatable through 90 increments for versatility. This modular style of optic allows both the large and medium luminaire to have similar distributions for uniformity in lighting schemes. The unique nature of the Aeris optics virtually eliminates the stripes, or striations, normally associated with horizontal lamp luminaries, the forward throw cut-off provides even more light in front of the pole while retaining its true cut-off of back light. Aeris range is a true architectural lighting instrument with performance to match its looks. 22 Disclaimer Holophane columns of 8m and above are suitable for Terrain Category II to IV, as specified in EN 40, whereas columns below 8m are suitable for location of Terrain Category III and IV only. While it is the purchasers responsibility to specify the Terrain Category for the location of the columns, it is considered that the Terrain Categories specified above, which are recommended in PD 6547 (guidance on the use of EN 40), will be suitable for the vast majority of lighting columns installed within the UK. It is of course possible that a small number of columns will be installed in more severe Terrain Categories than those above. Such locations include coastal sites (within 5Km of the coast), columns mounted on elevated locations such as bridges or installed on sites above 250m altitude. Locations with known local wind funnelling also need to be considered as a special case. Where special conditions exist or there are concerns that columns designed for the standard Terrain Categories detailed above may not be suitable, please contact your local Holophane Sales Engineering who will pass your specific site details to our Unique Solutions Department. The information required to ensure a suitable column is specified for your particular set of circumstances is. The addition of locally applied signs and banners can significantly increase the load on the column. In such cases, a higher specification column is likely to be required. Please give your local Holophane Engineer details of the additional loading you wish to apply, i.e. maximum area and mounting height. In the case of light strings (Christmas lights) the weight/m, distance of the span and the minimum centre sag dimension you will be installing. Under no circumstances should lighting columns be drilled or additional items welded to columns as this will locally reduce the strength of the column and may cause a significant safety hazard. Mounting height. Column type e.g. Conical Number and type of luminaire. Bracket type if appropriate Administrative area of installation. Altitude if above 250m. Details of site including any relevant or special conditions. Mounting method - direct embedment or flange base.
