Upcoming Special Events September Terminals to Tarmac Tour Thursday, September 7, 2017 An opportunity to participate in an extensive tour of the San Diego International Airport will take place on Thursday, September 7 at 10:00 AM. There is no charge for this event. The tour is two hours long with a ten-minute break. The terminals portion will require comfortable shoes for considerable walking. Our group will gather at the commuter terminal where we will board a shuttle bus to the main terminals. Points of interest include the latest innovations in facilities/operations, airport history, and the Public Art Program. The shuttle bus will do a slow circling tour of the tarmac and runway, including an area for the protection of endangered migratory species. For a glimpse of the event, try the following link. http://www.theworldisraw.com/san-diego-airport-terminals-to-tarmac-tour/ In responding, please indicate whether your interest includes lunch at the Coasterra restaurant on Harbor Island (cohnrestaurants.com/coasterra) following the tour, and whether carpooling is preferred. The tour is expected to fill quickly, so please respond at your earliest convenience to Roger McCormack, rcormax@gmail.com.
