Ashleigh is raising money for MacMillan Cancer Support and is shaving all of her hair off to raise funds for them. She is doing this on Wednesday 8 November. If you would like to make a contribution please send a donation into school in an envelope marked Ashleigh Barbour Charity Event. She is also donating her hair to Little princesses Trust. A picture of Ashleigh is shown here...we will try and get a picture of her after the event! It has been a busy half term and our Year 7 students have settled in well. I hope you all have a lovely half term. Regards Mr Moores ROCK CHALLENGE REHEARSALS Please see the attached sheet with Rock Challenge rehearsal dates and times for after half term up to the Christmas holiday. We will provide information for after Christmas nearer the time. Students need to bring clothes and footwear to perform in and a drink. Mobile phones are not permitted during rehearsals. Mr Bramwell YEAR 8 AND 9 - RESIDENTIAL TRIP TO THE BATTLEFIELDS OF YPRES, BELGIUM THIS IS NOW OPEN TO YEAR 9 STUDENTS We still have some spaces on our trip to Ypres, Belgium in the Spring term Friday 2 March to Saturday 3 March 2018. This is now open to Year 9 students too. The cost of the trip is 128.00 which includes accommodation, transport, food and excursions. (Continued from page 1) BUGSY MALONE Aldworth School have several students taking part in a Bugsy Malone production for BAOS Limelight during half term; Ellie Rampton, Ben Pope, Lucy McFee - all Year 9 students and also James Wood from Year 7. They have been rehearsing very hard, putting such a lot into it and hope lots of tickets can be sold to support their hard work. Please see the attached flyer for further details. Mr McCabe PELICAN CANCER FOUNDATION SANTA RUN Pelican Cancer Foundation are organising a Santa Run which will be taking place on Sunday 10 December 2017 at the War Memorial Park in Basingstoke. It is the first one to be held in the area for 5 years!! All proceeds will be going to the Pelican Cancer Foundation to aid research into beating bowel, prostate, bladder and liver cancers.
