DAY 3 MAE HONG SON PAI DISTRICT (B/L/-) Breakfast at the hotel and then drive to Pai District Visit Long Neck Karen Hill Tribe Village - Ban Nam Phiang Din The village is on Pha Bong sub-district is the only village of this kind to be reached by cruising for about an hour along the Pai River, both sides of which are made up of fine scenery. It is the village by Thailand - Myanmar border. Here you will find longnecked and long-eared girls. Handicrafts made by them are available. Price is not so expensive. Visit Fish Cave (Thumpla) Fish Cave - near the village of Huay Pha. A water channel that leads its way out of a small submerged cave. What is inside the cave is still unknown to us, but it astoundingly draws thousands of the "Pluang-Hin" fish into the cave, with only a small number of them coming back out. Lunch at the local restaurant Visit Tham Lod (Lod cave) Lod Cave is a large spectacular natural limestone cave system, its main feature being the stream which runs through the heart of the cave. The best way to see the caves is to hire the services of one of the guides at the cave office. Here you have a choice of exploring some of the dark caverns by lamplight and/or taking a bamboo raft into the cave. Visit Wat Nam Hoo Wat Nam Hoo in Pai is an important temple in the area with a sacred Chiang Saenstyle Buddha image, called "Un Mueang". The head of the image is hollow and contains holy water. Behind the temple building and chedi is a memorial shrine for HRH Supankalaya, the older sister of King Naresuan the Great. Visit Chinese Yunnan Village There is a well-known Chinese village called Shandicun or Yunnan Chinese village which is located 4.5 kilometers from Pai. The village is famous for horse riding, wellness, shooting games and Chinese souvenir items.
