Day 02 Auckland City Tour After breakfast at hotel, proceed for your half day city tour of Auckland - Travel through the city centre, along Karangahape Road with its chequered past and eclectic vibe, past fashionable Ponsonby and over the Auckland Harbour Bridge, enjoying views of the Hauraki Gulf and city skyline. Visit the Viaduct Harbour and Auckland's famous Queen Street before continuing to the Auckland Domain. The Domain is the city's oldest park and, at 75 hectares, one of its largest. Developed around an extinct volcano, it features tropical gardens, duck ponds and public art, and is also home to the Auckland War Memorial Museum. After visiting the Domain, the tour continues to Parnell Village for a morning tea stop. The historic buildings of Parnell have been transformed into a trendy shopping area featuring a range of boutiques, craft and specialty stores. The tour will then take you along the scenic waterfront route of Tamaki Drive to Michael Joseph Savage Memorial Park, above Mission Bay. Named after one of New Zealand's most revered Prime Ministers, the park, with its formal gardens and tranquil atmosphere, offers a panoramic outlook over the picturesque Eastern Bays, Auckland city and the Waitemata Harbour. Then get up close with the diverse local marine life at the famous Kelly Tarlton s Underwater World, just five minutes from downtown - Set on the waterfront of Auckland City on Okahu Bay, just moments from the famous Mission Bay beach, Kelly Tarlton's SEA LIFE Aquarium is one of Auckland's top attractions! Kelly Tarlton's showcases over 30 live animal exhibits in spectacular habitat displays, including the world's largest Antarctic penguin colony exhibit and amazing underwater viewing tunnels. The fantastic Animal Adventures offer unique and thrilling 'up close' underwater encounters with huge sharks, including the all new Shark Dive Xtreme and Shark Cage experience. Afternoon is at leisure visit the Sky Tower at Sky City Auckland - A truly captivating experience awaits visitors to Auckland's Sky Tower. At 328 metres, it is the tallest man-made structure in New Zealand and offers breathtaking views for up to 80 kilometres in every direction. Travel up in the glassfronted lifts to one of the three spectacular viewing platforms, or for more thrills and excitement, SkyWalk round the pergola at 192 metres up or SkyJump, Sky Tower is one of New Zealand's most exhilarating and spectacular tourist attractions, you will be amazed at what you can see and do under one roof! Day 03 Auckland - Hamilton After breakfast, check out and proceed by your self-drive vehicle to Hamilton. 127 km (79 miles) Approximately 1.5 hours. Auckland, New Zealand's largest city, is situated between two enormous harbours and dotted with 48 extinct volcanic cones. It's a place to enjoy marine adventures, wine trails, forest walks and urban sophistication.as you cruise down the southern motorway, suburban scenery gradually gives way to the farmland of South Auckland, an area favoured by bloodstock breeders. You'll enjoy motorway speeds all the way to Bombay, a major market gardening area.the Waikato River will accompany you for much of your journey through the green countryside. Places of interest along the way include the wine growing area of Te Kauwhata and the coal mining town of Huntly. Before you get to Hamilton, you'll notice side roads leading to Waingaro Hot Springs and Raglan, a surf resort on the west coast.the city of Hamilton is carved in two by the mighty Waikato River. Attractions include gardens, riverboat cruising and a giant free flight aviary. Excellent restaurants and cafes can be found at the southern end of the city's main street. After reaching Hamilton, check in at your hotel. Visit the Waitomo Glowworm Caves - are world renowned New Zealand tourist attraction. Thousands of the tiny glowworms each give off a small amount of luminescent light. Combined they enable to roof and walls of the caves to glow in the dark. Young or old, this natural phenomena is a true marvel. Then visit the Hamilton Gardens - the gardens have free entry. Interestingly, the gardens are the largest tourist attraction in the Waikato Region, but it's not hard to see why. Hectares of fresh foliage, green open spaces and themed, manicured gardens make this a must visit in Hamilton. Of particular note are the themed gardens. Styles range from Japanese, Indian, English, Italian and more. Extensive landscaping and sculptures really top off this stunning setting beside the Waikato River. Rose gardens are a specialty with many rare varieties on display. The range of plants and foliage across the entire grounds is astounding. In the works is also a Maori Garden.Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at hotel. Day 04 Hamilton After breakfast, proceed to visit Hamilton Zoo (entrance fee at clients own expense) has been delighting families in the Waikato since 1969. Located northwest of Hamilton, it is surrounded by lush green fields - a great location to house all manner of animals big and small. This well-established Zoo is home to over 600 animals across the key species: Mammals, Reptiles, Amphibians, Birds. You'll encounter animals native to New Zealand such as the Tuatara, to exotic animals such as the Sumatran Tiger, White Rhino and of course, Monkeys. There is also a free flight aviary to watch the resident bird population. The zoo has a special programme called Face2Face. For $15 on top of your admission, you can book in to encounter a Chimp, Tiger, Rhino or Lemur up close and personal with the guidance of the zookeeper. If you dare! Then visit the SkyCity Casino - SkyCity Hamilton is the only casino in the Waikato and has long been a favourite entertainment venue for locals and visitors alike. What a great night out: Drinks, dinner, a show, then try your luck in the casino! Open 24 hours a day, SkyCity casino provides a fun place where you can party any time of the day. There are all manner of traditional table games like Black Jack, Roulette and Baccarat. There are also restaurants and bars inside the SkyCity Casino. There is also Family entertainment - While the gaming areas are R20, Level 2 at Skycity is the Family Zone. Knock down the pins at the exciting Bowlevard bowling Alley. For team action there is the Megazone Laser Tag, which is also good for birthday parties. TimeZone is the games section where you can challenge family members.

Also visit the Waikato Stadium - Waikato Stadium is the key location for major sporting and cultural events in the Waikato Region. Home to The Chiefs Super Rugby Team, and the Waikato Provincial Rugby Team, the stadium is best known for hosting Rugby games. The stadium has a capacity of 25,800 across 4 stands. The Stadium also plays host to hundreds of corporate functions each year. Overnight at hotel. Day 05 Hamilton - Napier After breakfast, check out and proceed by self-drive vehicle to Napier. Total drive is around 3 ½ hours via Rotorua and Taupo. Arrive at Napier and check in at the hotel. Napier is one of New Zealand's most attractive cities, located at the south of the Hawkes Bay, just 20 minutes out of Hastings. Palm trees line the inner-city streets and the wonderfully sculpted Marine Parade, as the name suggests, runs along the shore of the city. Along Marine Parade various parks, gardens and memorials give the water s edge its distinct character.known as the Art Deco City, Napier has the most comprehensive collection of innercity art deco buildings in the world. Napier is also the home of New Zealand wine, housing the oldest wineries and wine-making establishments in the country. With some of the best sunshine hours in New Zealand, mountainous shelter from prevailing westerly winds, and refreshing sea breezes, not only is Napier a great climate for visiting, but is ideal for grape growing.when visiting the town you'll be sure to discover it was completely rebuilt after a disastrous earthquake rocked the area in the 1930s. Thousands of people travel to Napier for the annual Art Deco weekend in February, but the town has many other qualities to offer throughout the year which make it a great destination for a family holiday. Day 06 Napier After breakfast, proceed to explore the town - A trip to Arataki Honey Centre guarantees a fun day out for the family, not to mention it is a free entry and free honey tasting! Celebrated as the top bee-keeping business in the southern hemisphere, the centre has a lot to offer to its visitors and children are intrigued by the whole experience.another free day out for everyone - Classic Sheepskins offers a unique opportunity to learn about the sheepskin industry with a hands-on tour. Visitors get to observe the whole process of the NZ-made sheepskin products as well as learning about the polishing of the wool and the drying out of the leather.the Hawke s Bay region is a foodie s paradise with great local flavours to sample and enjoy. The New Zealand Wine Centre will take you on a journey to learn about how the region s wines are made and you can grab a packaged four course lunch option to sample the fine flavours. You can also go on a bike tour to see Napier s stunning views and vineyards to taste the premium wines. There are several different gardens in Napier to enjoy a nice walk or picnic. Water is a central theme at the Centennial Gardens with a waterfall, rock pools and grassy areas offer peaceful landscapes. Another garden to explore is the Napier Botanical Gardens, which contains 18 acres to walk through and see the duck pond, plants and flowerbeds. 20 kms from Napier is Hastings - Bring your appetite to Hastings and relish the local food and wine opportunities. This major agricultural centre promises to excite your taste buds. Orchards and vineyards surround the urban are with wine tasting. Over summer, you ll find roadside stalls overflowing with pipfruit and fresh produce. At any time of the year, there are more than 40 wineries to visit. Day 07 Napier Martinborough After breakfast, check out and proceed by self-drive vehicle to Martinborough (approx 3 ½ hours). Arrive at Martinborough and check in at hotel. The Martinborough Wine Centre showcases the wines and wineries of the Wairarapa region. This place is the wine village that s truly on the world map for its brilliant Pinot Noir, A perfect state of wine. Martinborough Wine Village mirrors its small community - old world style with new world flair creating simply superb hand-crafted wines. The Martinborough

Wine Centre - Open daily 10am - 5pm, offers complimentary wine tasting, bike hire, personalised tours, winemaker tastings, international shipping and case discounts. Day 08 Martinborough Wellington After breakfast at hotel, check out and proceed by self drive vehicle to Wellington, the capital city of New Zealand. Situated at the southern end of the North Island, Wellington, New Zealand, was recently named "the coolest little capital in the world" by Lonely Planet. Nestled between a sparkling harbour and rolling green hills, New Zealand's capital city is renowned for its arts, heritage, culture and native beauty. Relax at Oriental Bay, Wellington s golden-sand inner-city beach and delve into the many museums, art galleries and theatre shows that make up the city s pulsing cultural scene. If you re into the outdoors, Wellington has action-packed adventure activities like mountain biking and sea-water kayaking, as well as beautiful walks around the harbor and surrounding hills. Ride the cable car up the hill to Kelburn for amazing views over the city and enjoy an ice cream at the top. On the waterfront itself you ll find Te Papa Tongarewa Museum, New Zealand s national museum. Te Papa, as it s colloquially known, means our place and is one of the best interactive museums in the world.wellington buzzes with delicatessens, cafes and restaurants it s a city that enjoys gourmet food and fine wine. Known as the culinary capital of New Zealand, Wellington is famous for its tucked-away bars, quirky cafes, award-winning restaurants and great coffee. Head to Courtenay Place or Cuba Street to get amongst the good stuff. Arrive at Wellington and check in at hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at hotel in Wellington. Day 09 Wellington After breakfast at the hotel, proceed by Seat in Coach for a city tour. See Wellington City and the Wellington rugged coastline through the eyes of a local on this tour. The remainder of the day is at leisure, you might like to do one of the following optional activities: Visit Zealandia The Karori Sanctuary Experience, just 10 minutes from downtown Wellington. The valley is home to some of New Zealand's rarest wildlife including kiwi and tuatara while the exhibition explains the 500-year vision for this conservation attraction. Then visit the Wellington Botanic Gardens - From ancient forests to colourful flower beds, the Wellington Botanic Garden is a delightful experience, completed by great views of the city and harbour. Established in 1844, the Wellington Botanic Garden is home to some of the oldest exotic trees in New Zealand. Today, the native and exotic forests are complemented by a duck pond, a begonia house and cafe, colourful floral displays, herb garden, an Australian garden and the award-winning Lady Norwood Rose Garden. Wellington is movie director Peter Jackson's hometown and many movies have been made in Wellington. The world premiere of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey in November 2012 has the spotlight firmly in

Wellington. A tour is the best way to discover the secrets of the making of the movies. Enjoy animal antics at Wellington Zoo - New Zealand's oldest zoological park. Hire a sea kayak and paddle around the picturesque bays of Wellington Harbour. Day 10 Wellington Picton Marlborough (Blenheim) After breakfast check out and self drive to the Wellington ferry terminal for your Interislander ferry to Picton (South Island). Arrive and disembark at Picton. You will be met by a local representative who will hand over your rental car. Drive to the region of Marlborough, Blenheim an excellent base for exploring many wineries. Tour the wineries of New Zealand s largest wine growing region and sample internationally acclaimed Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. You can take an optional helicopter ride over the wineries or hire a bicycle and cycle around the wineries. You can also stop at the Vines Village to sample the extensive range of locally produced olive oils and internationally award winning liqueurs and culinary fare. Then proceed to Blenheim. Blenheim has sunny climate and is the sunniest town in New Zealand. This makes it an ideal wine growing region.
