Hello all Club Members, I know we all have our eyes set on our biggest event of the year being our Display and Show Day of all our Small Fords on the 5th November being next Sunday. Come and join everyone for a fabulous day in seeing a wide variety of cars in all sorts of degrees whether Restored, Modified or Original. Even if it s your everyday drive or unfinished project, everyone wants to see them. This is the event of the year where all Historic Plated Club Cars should attend. We will also be in need of helpers to cover an hour or so of the day. There is food and drink available, and of course there will be raffles and prizes. Come along and enjoy the spirit, May many Fords be with you. Don t forget the 9th of December is the date for our Christmas Party at Mt Annan Botanical Gardens to cap the year off, so there is a great social lot of chin wagging to do. Santa will be there for the kids, so if you would like your child to receive a gift from Santa, please bring it along with their name on it so it can be handed out. SFCC Annual Concours and Display Day Sunday 5 th November 2017 Camden Showground Argyle Street, Camden NSW This is shaping up as a great event and if you cannot make it to anything else during the year you must make it to this event. It is actually the biggest event on the club s calendar and we encourage all members to attend with their small Ford, regardless of condition. This day isn t only about show cars, we want to see your daily driver and/or your project car. There is ample parking so bring it on a trailer if you must. If your car is on Historic Rego then this is the one event we expect you to attend with your car. Special Note: If you have offered your help on the sub-committee being set up for this event please see Geoff Bayliss at the October Club meeting.

Club Mystery Run Sunday 19 th November 2017 Meeting at 7 - Eleven Cnr Quakers Hill Parkway & Lalor Road, Quakers Hill NSW Arrive at 9 am for a 9.30am start Our next Mystery Run is coming up in November and as these prove very popular events among our members you don t want to miss this fun event. This Mystery Run has already been planned and will be run by Steve and Janelle Lansley. If you haven t been on one of their previous runs then you re truly in for a day of fun. The day is a rather casual affair with questions to answer and a game of skill sometimes thrown in. There is a luncheon on at the end of the event. So, don t worry if you miss any clues, you ll get to copy all the correct answers from your fellow competitors over lunch. Club Christmas Party Saturday 9 th December 2017 Australian Botanic Gardens Mount Annan Narellan Rd, Mount Annan, NSW From 11.00am To celebrate the end of year we have again booked the Wattle Garden within the Australian Botanic Gardens at Mount Annan. So we invite all Club Members and their families to come along and attend our Club Christmas Party. A BBQ lunch and soft drinks will be provided, however bring your own alcohol. There is some sheltered seating but it would be a good idea to bring some picnic chairs just in case. Santa will also be making an appearance, so don t forget to bring along presents for your children or grandchildren so that they have a gift to receive from Santa. Of course he will have plenty of sweets to hand out for the big kids too. If you would like to cruise to the event along with other members then please meet at Uncle Leo s truck stop at 10.00am Uncle Leo s Truck Stop Crossroads Lot 1 Campbelltown Rd, Glenfield Meet at 10.00am to cruise to the Wattle Garden, Mt Annan

Small Ford Sunday (VIC) Sunday 4 th February 2018 Deaf Children Australia 597 St Kilda Road, Melbourne VIC Cars enter from High street. We have been invited to attend the Small Ford Sunday show which is held in Victoria on the first Sunday in February every year. The 2018 show is being held at a new venue which the organisers tell us is a better venue than the previous ones. It is the biggest show in the country for small fords so it is definitely worth the effort to travel down. There are trade stands too, and of course plenty of trophies are up for grabs.

Minutes Club Meeting Wednesday 4 th October2016 Meeting Opened: 7.45pm, Apologies: Jim Campbell, Adrian Gauci, Peter Meyer and Brian Gelding. Visitors or new Members: Jason Capper,. Minutes of Last Meeting: Business arising from the previous minutes: Due to the Newsletter just being issued today (due to less time than normal because of the long weekend acceptance of the September meeting minutes will be carried over until the November meeting. The August meeting minutes were accepted by Gary Newman and seconded by Geoff Bayliss. Action from the previous minutes: Business arising from this meeting. Nil Presidents Report: Phil Coffey welcomed all members and visitors to the meeting and acknowledged the life members present, Phil advised members of those matters discussed at the recent Committee Meeting with particular reference to the planning of the calendar for 2018 and the fact that the bones of the calendar were planned. Past Event Report : The Broke Fair Cruise was not a success with only three members taking part although member Adrian Sinclair commented that the roads used were a delight to drive on. Phil commented that perhaps the lack of success was due to not enough notice but is something that will be rectified for 2018. Upcoming Events : Sunday 8 th October Penrith Meet and Cruise -thanks to Theo Bakasetas s suggestion this will now be an opportunity to enjoy the Penrith Paceway Cars and Coffee get together and then proceed to Wiseman s Ferry for lunch. Sunday 15 th October Capital All Ford Day Queanbeyan flyers available at the front desk and Phil reminded everyone that the club will refund the cost of entry to those members who partake of the event. Sunday 5 th November SFCC Concours and Display Day Phil pointed out this is the major event for the club and one which we would encourage all members to take part in either by bringing your vehicle or helping out on the day. He then handed over to Geoff Bayliss Co-Ordinator of the event to give a more detailed explanation of how the day will run and what the procedures will be. Geoff gave a good report of how the event is shaping and the sponsors who will assist in addition to an explanation of what cars will be judged and how that will work. He pointed out that 16 Judges were needed and called for nominations from the floor. A very pleasing outcome was that 14 Judges positions were filled plus a number of people offering their assistance to man the BBQ. Upcoming Events Sunday 19 th November - Mystery Run this is being put together by Stephen and Janelle Lansley and Phil Coffey and should be an enjoyable day with a fun element.
