About the project Project THEATRE is about the representation of a world structured by the politics of illusion. In this context, various extended reality techniques, such as 3- D images, avatars and mapping, are used. These techniques enable us to re- enact distinctive or anecdotal scenes from the international political arena. You will remember the French veto against war in Iraq in the UN General Assembly, and surely, you have not forgotten how Silvio Berlusconi kept Angela Merkel waiting for a long time at the NATO summit. The stage will also become a site of improbable encounters. What would Marshall Tito have said if Silvio Berlusconi had kept him waiting? Real persons, fictitious persons and avatars will meet. Important decisions will be taken. A war might be in the offing. The stage might become a theatre of operations. What project is interested in here is the interaction between reality and fiction and the way it is at work in reports on current politics. The point is to rediscover the reality of comedy or drama behind the illusion of the political. Audition and Workshop Schedule: EnKnap and Superamas invites experienced performers, dancers and actors of both gender to audition for the Theatre project, produced by EN- KNAP Production and Superamas. The project will premiere within the European Capital of Culture Maribor 2012. The audition for project will take place in Španski Borci Cultural Centre 1 according to the below schedule: Application on audition: We expect you to send a letter of motivation and C.V. with identity photo on following address: goran.pakozdi@en- knap.com. All application should be send until 27th September 2011. Welcome event: All participants are invited on Friday, 30th September, at 9 p.m. in Španski Borci Cultural Centre on movie projection, which will introduce you with EnKnapGroup and Superamas film works. Audition: The audition will take place on Saturday, 1 st October 2011, from 10 a.m. 5 p.m. Workshop: After the audition on Saturday, Philippe Riéra (Superamas) and Iztok Kovač (EN- KNAP) will select the group of people to participate in the workshop from Sunday 2 nd to (including) Wednesday 5 th October 2011 between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Candidates invited to the workshop will be ensured accommodation between October 2 nd and 6 th 2011 and a communal meal (lunch or dinner). Individual contracts with the selected dancers will be signed for the period November 2011 end of 2013, with the possibility to be prolonged if required. 1 See the map No. 1 3
