Objectives and content Study the military frequency spectrum allocations required for the insertion into the GAT of the UAS Identify an appropriate spectrum for the integration of UAS in non-segregated airspace, in connection with Air4All conclusions on UAS insertion into GAT Define and promote European interests and positions in WRC preparation Final outcomes : To provide inputs to WRC-11 European preparation To provide contributions in support to CEPT and ITU-R processes To support the European position regarding regulation and operational requirements To provide supporting information to the European Delegations To identify other UAS related issues, in view of WRC-15 (such as P/L, Mission D/L and ATOL spectrum requirements) Other considerations Definition of operational scenarios Optimisation of spectrum resource

Current Status has started on January 20th, 2009 Workshop 1 + National Workshops have already been held Hypotheses are now being discussed and shared with pms Operational needs discussed during Workshop 1 Need to fly in GAT, mainly for transit phase. Convergence on airspace configurations to focus on for following phases: Take-off / Landing Transit Mission Bandwidth need vs ITU statement First partial computation shows compatibility with current ITU bandwidth requirement.
