However, tourism involves many activities that can have negative environmental impacts which can gradually destroy the environmental resources on which it depends. In addition, the increasing global awareness about the impacts of climate change taking place on our planet is fast becoming evident. Tourism can also have positive impacts on the environment by contributing to environmental protection and conservation. Tourism destinations and their attractions can raise the awareness of environmental issues and help protect the environment for future generations.
