PCA Summer Camp Descriptions 2019 American Girl Camp Grades: Rising 2-6 Instructor: Kristen Belk It s time to leave 2018 behind and head back to historical America alongside your favorite American Girl dolls! Each day you will travel to a different point in our country s history to experience life from the past. This will be a week of crafts, adventure, games, and stories for both you and your doll. At the end of our week we will have a tea party to celebrate all the fun we ve had together! Boys Basketball Camp June 3-6 (Monday-Thursday), 8:30-2:00pm Grades: Rising 2-9 Instructor: Coach Couey Girls Basketball Camp June 17-20 (Monday-Thursday), 8:30-2:00pm Grades: Rising 2-9 Instructor: Coach James Cost: $165 Cost: $165 Our goal at camp is to improve each attendee in the fundamentals of basketball. Special attention will be given to the development of self-discipline, perseverance, determination, and having fun. Instructors will include former college players, current varsity high school players, and special guests.
Easy Cooking Grades: 4-8 Instructor: Viva Miller Cost: $140 Learn how to make a easy, delicious kid approved meal for breakfast, lunch, and dinner! Cooking Camp Grades: Rising 3-8 Instructor: Autumn Wright Food tastes better when shared with friends so come on and be a part of the Cooking Camp! Join Mrs. Wright at cooking camp, and learn how to make some fun, creative and delicious recipes. We will measure, mix, pour and decorate... and of course sample our work! Initially Yours (A Monogram Camp) Grades: Rising 4-8 Instructor: Amy Stavnes But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. - 1 Peter 2:9 Campers will have the opportunity to personalize and monogram crafts galore in monogram camp! We will celebrate the beauty of each individual and the gifts and talents God has given each of us as a child of God, as well as create personalized crafts and fun items each day. Little House on the Prairie Camp Grades: Rising 1-6 Instructors: Laura Nickens Cost: $120 Journey through the Big Woods to the Little House on the Prairie with Laura. Campers will get to experience a taste of the days of Laura Ingalls Wilder and the events that we read about in her Little House series. Reading, playing, making, exploring, tasting, and many more experiences will fill the week, giving campers a chance to connect with life on the prairie. No electronics, no devices, just pure childhood living. Campers should come dressed in their pioneer best! (Girls will also need an apron every day.)

Using the new LEGO WeDo 2.0 Robotics System, the campers will explore the basics of building and programming robots to complete exciting engineering challenges! Around the World Adventure Camp June 10-14, 12:00-3:00pm Instructor: Kyleigh Daigle Cost: $110 Come join us as we circle the globe seeing, tasting, smelling and exploring new cultures and far away places! We will visit places like Mexico, Uganda, Israel and more!
STEM Camp June 17-21, 8:30-11:30am & 12:00-3:00pm Grades: Rising K-2, 8:30-11:30; Rising 3-6, 12:00-3:00 Instructor: Lisa Carney Rising K-2: Young Engineers STEM Camp - Students will imagine, collaborate, explore and create, all while learning super cool STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) skills as they solve problems and challenges. During this STEM camp, they will design and build rockets, bridges, race cars, experiment with polymers and slime, as well as many other hands on interactive activities. Rising 3-6: STEM Robotics Camps - Students will build Vex robots, program Sphero robots as they race them through student created mazes, and learn the basics of coding and programming. Tennis Camp June 17-21, 8:00-11:30am 8:00-9:00; Rising 6-12 9:00-11:30 at MTCS tennis complex Instructor: Coach Michael Alfred Cost: Grades 2-5 $50 Grades 6-12 $100 Grab your tennis racket and get ready for some fun! Whether you are just starting out or looking to take your already existing game to another level, this camp is for you. Players will learn proper grips, stroke fundamentals (ground strokes, serves, volleys, etc.), and boost overall athleticism and health through silly games, focused drills, and engaging instruction. Lions Bowling Camp Location: Lanes, Trains, and Automobiles Grades: Rising 4th-8th Instructor: Coach Michael Alfred PCA Lions Bowling Camp is geared toward those new to the game or looking to improve their game. This camp will focus on technique (approach, release, and finish), scoring, lane (oil) patterns, targeting, spare conversion systems, ball technology, and more. Oh, and did I mention Murf Wars and Bumper Cars?!!! If you re looking for a great camp to learn something new and fun, then this is for you.
Kanakuk KampOut July 1-5, 8:40am-4:00pm Location: Calvary Baptist Church Grades: K-5th Instructors: KampOut staff Cost: $235 KampOut is a day camp experience filled with fun and adventure for elementary age boys and girls. Kids will experience incredible activities including a climbing wall, zip line, and water slides. The camp is run by a professional, servant-hearted team of Kanakuk staff, and offers a glimpse of the Kanakuk overnight experience.
