4 WELCOME TO DA VINCI S MANSION 3 Welcome to the mansion where Leonardo Da Vinci spent the last years of his life, and enjoy the many interactive replicas of his inventions in the garden. The Italian artist and inventor was invited by the French king to help him create the Château de Chambord and resided here at the Clos Lucé. Discover his bed room, dining room and his atelier, as well as many of his famous inventions. Some of them are big enough to play with, making it a paradise for your children! 5 OF GRAPES AND WINE 4 Get ready for an extraordinary journey into the world of wine and wine making through a private visit of a traditional winery in the heart of the Loire Valley. This private tour starts with the visit of the vineyards outside just to learn about the importance of the soil and weather conditions. Then, make your way into the unique wine cellar dug directly inside a cliff (troglodyte cave), where huge wine barrels are stored. Back in the 16 th century, when the Kings and Queens of France lived in the Loire Valley, fencing was a sport they would all learn. Our private, experienced teacher (who has trained several Olympic teams) will give you an introduction on the art of fencing before you gear up and do some sword fighting of your own.
