11 th February 2015 Dear Parents & Guardians, ST ALOYSIUS CATHOLIC COLLEGE KINGSTON CAMPUS CANTEEN RE-OPENING WEDNESDAY 18 TH FEBRUARY 2015 Welcome back to a new year and a big welcome to new students, parents and guardians. Please refer to the attached menu for KINGSTON CAMPUS Canteen. Those familiar to the College will notice a price rise across most items. This is the first price increase in 12 months and together with suppliers increasing their costs, these have been unavoidable and I appreciate your understanding with these changes. We will still continue to keep prices as low as possible and look forward to providing your children with a healthy and varied menu. The previous Canteen Co-Managers achieved Silver Accreditation in the Tasmanian Canteen Accreditation Program which is based on National Healthy School Canteen Guidelines (NHSCG). Many items from the previous menu are still available and with a few new choices included, we will trial these during Term 1 to see how they are received. Please familiarise yourselves with the Kingston Canteen procedures which are attached and a few reminders are on the actual menu itself. We ask that you follow these so we can manage to deliver a prompt and efficient service to your children. Regards, (Mrs) Veronica Palmer (Mrs) Elaine Doran (Mr) Brendan Gill Canteen Manager Principal Kingston Campus Director

ORDER NOW!! PLEASE FILL OUT THE ATTACHED SLIP WITH CORRECT MONEY (CASH ONLY) BEFORE 27 TH FEBRUARY 2015!!! Reusable Canteen Lunch Order Bags Our reusable lunch order bags are fast becoming a must have for all primary schools. They are so easy to use, easy to clean. They just make life easy. The bags are compact, funky, fit easily within school bags and have been designed to replace paper bags that are currently used in school canteens. Paper bags are generally used once and thrown away, contributing a substantial amount of paper waste into the environment. Paper bags have no provision for money, are unstable when standing and are prone to tearing when wet. The Lunch Wallet and All Rounder are re-usable Canteen Bags made of non-woven polypropylene. They are durable and easily wiped clean with a damp cloth. With fundraising and direct orders for Schools and Business, it is a profitable way to raise much needed funds for school projects whilst reducing paper waste and making packing lunch orders so much easier. Not to forget keeping money in a safe separate pocket so that it is not lost or coming in contact with food. In fact, a School with a population of 500 Students will dispose of approximately 11,000 paper bags each year from the School Canteen. If you are a parent looking for a practical alternative to the paper bag or a teacher aiming to reduce paper waste in your school then a Lunch Wallet or Insulated All Rounder is a perfect choice!
