EAA CHAPTER 153 Preserving The Freedom of Flight The Official Newsletter of Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter 153 - December 2012 November 9 Meeting: A Better Fuel System for Low Wing Airplanes by Ole Sindberg Ole Sindberg (first picture), and his Son, Paul (second picture), spoke about the design of a better fuel system for low wing airplanes. Next Meeting: Friday, December 14, 6:30pm: Annual EAA 153 Holiday Party Our Annual Holiday Party will be downstairs at Schaumburg Airport (06C). Setup starts at 6pm. Please RSVP if you are a guest or are bringing more than you and your significant other (so we have enough door gifts - courtesy of Santa). People whose last names begin with A-D are requested to bring appetizers; E-H, side salad; I- K, fruit; M-N, vegetables; O-S, meat; T-Z, dessert; or instead bring your specialty. No need to bring a large amount of food, only enough for 6-8 people. We will provide a platter of shrimp, a main dish of Lasagna, soft drinks, coffee, cups, paper plates, and plastic ware. EAA Chapter 153 meetings are held at 7:30 pm on the second Friday of each month at Schaumburg Airport (06C), Wright Boulevard at Irving Park Road in Schaumburg - see map on page 3. This fuel system provides redundancy in critical areas. It was designed for Ole s own aircraft and has been proven safe and reliable. There are plenty of warning lights and digital fuel quantity gauges. He talked about pricing and how the system is within the capabilities of the builder. It is also adaptable to different aircraft. This system has the potential for saving lives.
