Millcraft began as a recognized leader in industrial fabrication and the manufacturing of steel products. In the 1970s, the company exited the steel industry and began focusing its efforts in commercial real estate development. During the 1990s, Millcraft worked to develop Southpointe Business Park in Canonsburg, PA. The once rural area evolved into one of the biggest local hubs for business, events, and new home projects. In 2005, Millcraft began its first project in Downtown Pittsburgh, transforming the former Lazarus department store into condominiums, retail, and office space. Now known as Piatt Place, it is considered to be one of the groundbreaking movements of Downtown Pittsburgh s residential renaissance. ESPLANADE Esplanade, meaning a promenade over water, is a proposed development project located along the Ohio River in the Chateau neighborhood of Pittsburgh s North Side. Millcraft and its partners plan to create a new destination for locals and visitors alike by transforming 15 riverfront acres of brownfield and underutilized industrial sites into a new mixed-use, sustainable district. Esplanade is planning to feature an illuminated Ferris Wheel and all-season activities. The project includes new residential opportunities, including apartments, condominiums and townhomes. Companies can occupy 280,000 square feet of Class A+ office space available for lease. A 300-room full-service hotel will service guests. CROSSROADS CENTER Crossroads Center was part of an urban revitalization effort for the city of Washington. Spearheaded by Millcraft, the building reached completion in 2006. As the owner s representative, Millcraft managed design and construction, and helped cut costs through value engineering and pre-construction negotiation. ST. CLAIR HOSPITAL AMBULATORY CARE CENTER MT. LEBANON/SCOTT TOWNSHIP Millcraft Development Services has been retained by St. Clair Hospital to act as the owner s representative for a new Ambulatory Care Center located on their main campus at 1000 Bower Hill Road. The new Ambulatory Care Center will include a diagnostic imaging suite and an operating floor for outpatient procedures. The building will also include medical office space.
