Production Information ANOESIS was created for an audience of approximately 40 people who are invited to sit facing each other side by side with the performers on two long tables (made from steel deck and plié wood that double up as both a desk and a catwalk) in the context of an examination. Stage Area Dimensions The Venue must be a minimum of 30ft Wide, 70ft in Length and 12ft high. 9.14m wide, 21.33m length and 3.65m Two areas of staging consisting of 5 pieces of 8ft by 4ft steel deck, with an overall footprint of 40ft by 4ft at 2ft 8 high. (12.19m by 1.22m at 0.80m high) The two areas of staging are position along opposite sides of the performance space facing into each other. There is a performance space between the two areas of staging this performance area must be 12ft width by 40ft length (3.65m width 12.19m length) measured from the inside edge of the two lengths of steel deck facing each other. The audience seating is on the other side of the staging, there must be a 5ft (1.52m) clearance from the edge of the steel deck to the nearest obstruction around the rest of the staging. Additional Relevant Touring Information Due to the specific nature of the production ANOESIS requires a playing space with no seating bank and the facility for steel deck to be fitted. It also requires a hidden space for a piano to be revealed at the end of the piece. As part of their work they offer professional development workshops for artists, teachers and practitioners as well as with young people and communities. They deliver a number of short courses and have extensive experience of creative residencies with a wide range of groups. They also offer consultancy and can work with creative learning departments to imagine new ways to work with young people and in participatory contexts. Both Directors are Lecturers at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in Glasgow and hold Post Graduate Certificates in Teaching for Higher Arts Education.
