We have been enjoying wonderful riding weather and lots of great rides. The number of folks coming out to enjoy our rides have been tremendous and we anticipate a beautiful spring riding season. The Bike Week Ride was great with almost 40 bikes in attendance (and rumor has it we had small group that rode up on Saturday). This month is an exciting month for those that lead the club. A number of the officers get to attend POT, that stands for Primary Officer Training. This is a two day session that Harley Davidson Hosts for officers of the clubs annually to help us to be better leaders and give us the opportunity to learn and share exciting ideas about new rides and events. We have a group of 7 headed to this two day seminar and hopefully we will come back energized and ready to institute some new ideas to make this a better club. Remember, Rolling Thunder is right around the corner and anyone that is attending or interested in attending really needs to get in touch with Onnie Massey or Brian VanAlstine to ensure arrangement have been made. This is a chapter ride. The National Rally is scheduled in August, this ride is not going to be a chapter ride. We have a list being passed for folks that are planning to attend so people can pal up if they wanna ride up or if you wanna caravan with bikes in tow. These details should be worked out individually but if we can help put folks in touch with one another we would happily do this so again, let us know if you are interested in this Rally. We have lots of exciting rides coming up so print that calendar, go to the website or call the HOG line and check in with what is going on and come out on a ride. Look forward to seeing each of you. Ride Safe, Ride Often and Keep Smiling. Hope to see you soon, Georgia Nelson, Director Meeting: Saturday April 12, 11:00 a.m. at Space Coast HD {Palm Bay} Meet/Eat/Greet starts at 10:00 a.m. Check the HOG Line at 321-255-2803 for Chapter activities www.spacecoast-hog.com

HOG Safety Letter April 2008 Another bike week has come and gone. It s great to have the year round riding weather that all the northerners crave. On the other hand we need to stay hydrated and use sunscreen in the Florida sun. Yes, the heat is back and drinking plenty of fluids is good for you. That s non-caffeinated, non-effervescent and non-alcoholic fluids. Heat exhaustion can sneak up on you when you re having fun. Warning signs of heat exhaustion include heavy sweating, paleness, muscle cramps, tiredness, weakness, dizziness, headache, nausea or vomiting, and fainting. Prevention is the best remedy. HAVE A GREAT MONTH AND I LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU ON THE NEXT RIDE!! RIDE SAFE!! New Members

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!TO EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It has been such a great experience in such a short amount of time, with so much more to come. The first Ladies of Harley ride for 2008 was January 20(man oh man it was a chiller). We went to Cowboy's in Orlando for the Fifth Annual Ribbons for Life ride to benefit breast cancer survivors in the local Orlando area. Over $20,000 raised. All riders pictures are on the Born To Ride website. Our ride for February was the Mad Hatter's Luncheon with the Treasure Coast Ladies of Harley at Marsh Landing fun was had by all (even the men). Just ask Tom, Jessie, Jim, Fuzzy, Joe, and Charlie. We have been invited to participate next year co-chairing this event with Treasure Coast LOH. All riders received a gift bag for attending. A special thank you to Jim Davis, Darby, Connie Chiles-Cook State Farm Agency, Rocket Motorcycle Trailers, Dr Shawn Eagan, and Dentist Darryl Askeland for contributions to the gift bags. ----March 4, 2008---I made history-- I was chosen to ride in the 1st "Woman s Daytona Ride 2008".This was incredible and I was very fortunate that Charlie was able to be there for this opportunity with me. While we were there we did a little networking with the Daytona HOG and Charlie volunteered at the Speedway staging bikes and seen it all. There are a few articles and clips on nano-vision, FOX 35, and American Thunder. I was bike 26, raised $653 for MDA, which gives me an opportunity to ride in a parade at the 105 Milwaukee event in August. I met Karen Davidson, Betty Robinson (daughter of Dot Robinson) pioneer of Motor Maids, and lots of other lady riders. It was great and I couldn t have done it without all of you. Our April ride is a Women s Conference on April 5, 2008 at Gator Harley Davidson. There is a pre-registration fee of $30 which includes breakfast, lunch, lectures, and demos. Anyone interested please contact me ASAP. Once again thank you to each and every one of you for your support Ride Safe and Have Fun because I am Barbie Barbie and Darby at the Daytona MDA women s ride

Dave Myers Wagon Retired and creative, HOG member Dave Myers designed and built a camper to haul behind his Harley. Heaven forbid it should look conventional. Nooo! His camper looks like a covered wagon. Small wonder he gets attention wherever he goes. Custom Bike builder Billy Lane, decided to park his bike next to Dave s Wagon in Daytona. Dave, will be leading the Cherokee Trail of Tears Motorcycle Ride May 24 and 25 leaving from Cleveland, Tennessee to Hopkinsville, Kentucky the first night. The ride finishes the next day at Missouri Trail of Tears Park in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Way to go Dave! He now he divides his riding time between Florida and Illinois. Dave s Covered Wagon
