(ii} Sin ce January 1, 2011, there has been no de-accession of forids or records held in custody by LAC to university archives. (iii) The following 28 fonds were de-accessioned in 2011 by LAC and were transferred to the City of Ottawa Archives. - 3 - (c) For ali fonds and records on deposit, LACis unable to disclose the nature of discussions with a Third Party without the written permission of the owners of the fonds or records, or the ir official designate (refer to the Privacy Act: http://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/pdf/p-21.pdf). (d) LAC's decision to acquire archives or records offered is based on the LAC's Evaluation and Acquisition Policy, using criteria including but not limited to the following: representativeness of Canadian society; national significance; sufficiency in relation to LAC collections already acquired; sustainability of the mate rial being offered and LAC's capa city to preserve it and make it accessible to Canadians; and LAC being the most suitable institution to house the material. LAC applies this policy in ali decisions pertaining to acquisitions. According to LAC's practices, potential donors are then informed of the decision either verbally or in writing, or bath.

- 3 - c) Pour tous les fo'nds et les dossiers détenus, BAC ne peut révéler la nature des discussions avec une tierce partie sans l'autorisation écrite des propriétaires desdits fonds ou dossiers, ou de leurs représentants officiels (voir la Loi sur la protection des renseignements personnels : http://lawslois.justice.gc.ca/pdf/p-21.pdf). d) Toute décision de la part de BAC quant à l'acquisition d'archives ou de dossiers qui lui sont offerts est basée sur la politique d'évaluation et d'acquisition de BAC, en utilisant entre autre les critères suivants : la représentativité de la société canadienne, l'importance à l'échelle nationale, la suffisance par rapport aux collections que BAC a déjà sous sa garde, la durabilité des documents offerts et la capacité de BAC à les préserver et à les rendre accessibles aux Canadiens, et la question à savoir si BAC est la meilleure institution pour accueillir ces documents. BAC applique cette politique sur toutes les décisions en matière d'acquisition. Conformément aux pratiques de BAC, les donateurs potentiels sont informés de la décision, verbalement ou par écrit, ou les deux.
