ITINERARY OVERVIEW Monday July 3 Tuesday July 4 Thursday July 6 Wednesday July 5 EDINBURGH Accomodation: Amar Agua Guest House Upon arrival at Edinburgh Waverly Station, proceed out of the station, up a flight of stairs. Get in the line for a taxi, take it to Amar Agua Guest House, check in and relax. EDINBURGH Accomodation: Amar Agua Guest House Enjoy Breakfast at the Amar Agua Guest House. The bus is easy to use. Tour Edinburgh Castle in the morning, have lunch on High Street and take in the sights. On your way down from the castle, be sure to stop in at St. Giles Cathedral. EDINBURGH Accomodation: Dalhousie Castle Hotel Spend the morning exploring Edinburgh. Check out the Royal Yacht Britannica, visit the Scottish Museum, or hike up Arthur's Seat for a view of the city. Check out of Amar Agua Guest House, take a taxi to Dalhousie Castle Hotel and enjoy and evening strolling the grounds. EDINBURGH - INVERNESS Accommodation: Crown Hotel Guest House Take a taxi from the Castle to Edinburgh Waverly train station. Depart for Pitlochry. Get lunch, and wander around the quaint little town. From Pitlochry, continue on to Inverness. After checking at the B&B, take a stroll through town.
Friday July 7 Saturday July 8 INVERNESS - UIG Accommodation: Croft B&B In the morning, walk back to the Inverness train station, locate the car rental EasyDrive Scotland. From Inverness, drive to Uig. Take in sights of the Lochness along the way, and enjoy the Scottish Countryside. Recommend to stop in Portree for a late lunch. After that, hike The Old Man of Storr. After finishing your hike, continue the drive to the B&B. UIG Accommodation: Croft B&B Wake up early, and take the Calmac Ferry over the Isle of Harris. Upon arrival, head to Luskentyre Beach. Recommend to pack a few snacks and spend a few hours there if the weather is enjoyable. After the beach, you may wish to visit the Callandish Standing Stones - famous in the TV show outlander. They have a wonderful coffee shop on site. If you did not spend too long at the beach, you can drive to Lews Castle in Storonway, now converted into an interesting museum abou the history of the outer isles - where they have the highest percentage of Gaelic speakers. Return to Uig by ferry in the evening. Sunday July 9 UIG- FORT WILLIAM Accommodation: The Brevins Guest House Depart the Isle of Skye today, but first stop and hike the Fairy Pools. After the hike, enjoy the drive through the Scottish countryside to Fort William.
Monday July 10 FORT WILLIAM - GLASGOW Accommodation: The Radisson Blu Hotel Glasgow In the morning drive to Fort William Transit Station. Leave the car here. Depart by bus to Glasgow. After arriving in Glasgow, explore the city. Visit the Glasgow museum, do a hop-on, hop-off bus tour if desired. Glasgow is the industrial center for Scotland. Enjoy your last night in Scotland! Tuesday July 11 Depart for the States!

DAY IN DETAIL FRIDAY JULY 7 2017 One day is included here as an example of what to expect with your Daily Detail. I'd recommend reviewing your Daily Detail Page the night before, so you don't miss anything! 8:45AM Enjoy breakfast at the Crown Hotel and Guest House. Checkout by 10AM. 10AM Walk from the Crown Hotel Guesthouse to EasyDrive Car Rental. Be prepared with license and credit card. The rental is paid for, but they require a credit card on file in case of an accident. Rental period begins at 10:30AM. 11AM Depart from the car rental station, follow the directions provided to Portree for lunch. Take lots of fun stops along the way! 2:00 PM Arrive in Portree. Recommend Cuchullin Restaurant for lunch for great fish & chips. After lunch, head to the old man of Storr. 2:00 PM Arrive in Portree. Recommend Cuchullin Restaurant for lunch for great fish & chips. 3:30 PM Arrive at the Old Man of Storr. There is a small parking lot, and likely many cars lining the road nearby. Proceed to hike up closer to the rock formation, giving a great view of the Isle of Skye and the ocean. 5:30 PM Return to your car, continue to Uig, stopping along the way at Kilt Rock or other natural beauty if deisred. The highlighted rock below, includes a lovely drive on a one way road through a valley. You may also choose to take the longer route around the top of the isle. 7:00 PM Check in at The Croft B&B. There are two restaurants in Uig, choose one for dinner! *detailed directions from google maps and booking confirmation for the B&B would go here!
