The Icefields Parkway is among the world s most scenic drives, with views of mountains and lakes that are among the most dramatic in the world. Our destination is the spectacular Athabasca Glacier, a massive river of ice that continues to inch its way south. We ll then return to the hotel making different stops on the way back. Dinner is included in Banff. B, D. September 16: This morning we ll travel south to Cardston, arriving at lunchtime. In the early afternoon, we ll visit the Cardston Temple. Built in 1913, this temple is unlike any of the other temples with stunning artwork inside. It was recently refurbished. B September 17: The town of Waterton is at the entrance to Waterton Lakes National Park another of the gems in the Canadian Rockies. You ll have time to enjoy the town and scenery this morning. Or take an optional cruise on Waterton Lake. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking. Our afternoon drive returns us to the US. We ll stay in Helena, Montana tonight. B, D September 18: We continue to make our way home today. Just after lunch, we ll enjoy an afternoon session in the beautiful Rexburg Temple. You ll enjoy some free time to relax this evening. B September 19: On our final day, we ll drive over to Twin Falls and enjoy our last session in this recently opened temple. We ll then return to Salt Lake arriving at about 6:00 PM. We have visited 8 temples and enjoyed some spectacular scenes. B, L Note: If you wish to participate in sessions at the different temples, you will need to bring your own temple clothing. If you bring them in their own case, we will store them under the bus in a separate bin so that it is easy to get to them each time we arrive at one of the temples. Several of these temples (like Spokane and Columbia River) don t have clothing for rent. Also: A passport is required to participate in this tour as all entry into Canada (whether by bus, plane or boat) now requires a passport.
