Molveno Trophy (2017) and AcroMax (2018) have been also valid as Italian National Championships. 5. LOCAL ORGANISER (LOC) Main Organiser: AERO CLUB LEGA PILOTI Organizing Committee: AERO CLUB BLUE PHOENIX VOLO LIBERO FRIULI ASD The main organiser, which will sign the agreement, is Aero Club Lega Piloti, a local aeroclub, officially recognized by the Italian NAC, Aero Club d Italia, which owns a huge experience in organising Hang Gliding and Paragliding (Cross Country and Aerobatics) competitions. It s the official organiser of the 22nd FAI Hang Gliding Championship, which will take place in 2019 in Tolmezzo (UD). Co-organisers of the event are Aero Club Blue Phoenix and Volo Libero Friuli ASD, both well experienced in organising HG and PG (Cross Country and Aerobatics) competitions and official organisers of each edition of Acromax. 3

Member of the Volo Libero Friuli Committee, is one of the organisers of AcroMax. Veronica Gil Paragliding pilot and Aerobatics Trainee FAI Judge. Member of the Volo Libero Friuli Committee, is one of the organisers of AcroMax. 9. CIVL COORDINATOR, STEWARD, JUDGES, JURORS CIVL Coordinator: the CIVL President or the appropriate Committee Chairperson. If the bid is accepted, the Coordinator will be the CIVL Steward as soon as he is appointed. The Chief Judge will be appointed by CIVL in consultation with the LOC. The Chief Judge will then appoint other Judges in consultation with the LOC. All Judges should be the same at the test event and at the event. The CIVL Jurors will be appointed in due time by the CIVL Bureau. 5
10. PILOTS ENTRY The maximum number of pilots allowed overall will be 60. The maximum number of pilots per nation and the team size will be defined in the championship Local Regulation, which is subject to CIVL approval. 11. ENTRY FEE Entry Fee for the Championship: SOLO: 700 per Pilot. SOLO + SYNCHRO: 850 for pilots doing both solo and synchro. TEAMS LEADERS and ASSISTANTS: 250. The Entry Fee includes: Transport to Take Off Water Rescue service Breakfast for each competition day (from Aug 5 to Aug 14) Dinner for each competition day (from Aug 4 to Aug 14) Event T-Shirt and gadgets 12. TEST EVENT According with CIVL Aerobatics Chairman and Senior Judge Claudio Cattaneo the test event is not required. 13. LAUNCH SITES Starting from Trasaghis, on a comfortable street through the woods, we reach our take off runway. It s located on the south mountainside at a height of 1180 meters; from there you can have a beautiful sight of Bordano village, of Tagliamento river and of 3 Comuni Lake, where the landing area is sited (on the west shore). Take off runway is wide and grassy: there s a little tableland from which slope soon starts. This is a flying area for all kind of pilots, from beginners to experts and offers good conditions both for soaring and thermal flying, especially during summer. Flying is allowed with south wind. Take off runway D02 (mount San Simeone) and landing area A07 (west shore of the lake) will be used. A raft on the lake (at about 100 meters from the shore) will be prepared too. A safety landing place, Prato A04, is situated 800 meters south from A07. 6

DISTANCE/ACCESS TO LAUNCH SITE Road access: using a comfortable street through the woods. Parking area is available next to TO. Shuttle time from the landing area to take-off area: 30 minutes. 15. TASK FLYING AREA The flying area is over the lake, with raft and on ground landing close to the HQ. 7
16. AIRSPACE Airspace is usually G classification but for the competition we require a special NOTAM. 17. WEATHER At this time of the year flight conditions are generally good and quite calm from the second part of the afternoon to the sunset. The best time for the runs is from 2-3 pm to sunset. In the morning on the ground there is strong valley wind, good for drying the equipment on the ground. In the late morning it changes direction and comes the typical south breeze (from 15 to 25 km/h). 18. METEOROLOGY Every morning, during the daily briefing, the Meteorologist will present the weather forecasts analysis. Accurate local forecast are available and on TO thee is a dedicated weather station. 19. TRANSPORT Organisers have a sufficient number of vans to transport pilots to TO. They will be managed by the Transport Director. 20. SAFETY ISSUES On the NW part of the lake there are some power lines, which are not dangerous or risky for pilots during normal flights and run. They are about 700 meters far from HQ. Our intent is to dispute 5 Synchro Runs and 5 Solo Runs during 10 competition days. For pilots qualifications, see S7 B 2.2.1.1 for the manoeuvres list. Since 2013, year of the first Acromax edition, no accident or incident have occurred. 21. RESCUE/MEDICAL SERVICE The experienced medical team of Acromax will be in charge for first aid. In case of serious damage helicopter or sanitary car will be available quickly. The first hospital is in Gemona del Friuli (10 minutes by car form HQ) and the helicopter base is in Udine (7 minutes of flight from HQ). 8

SAFETY MANAGEMENT PLAN The safety management plan is managed by the professional rescue team present on site, with whom the organisers have shared the main guidelines. 23. TRANSMISSIONS The transmissions from HQ to TO is available by mobile phone and radio frequency (UHF). On TO the Launch Director will be constantly in contact with Judges and MD at HQ. 24. LIAISON WITH POLICE, MILITARY, PUBLIC SERVICE Police is advised in advance and they are used to this kind of event. 25. INSURANCE Every pilot must have personal liability insurance. Personal insurance for injury, repatriation and rescue are strong recommended. No insurances will be available to be purchased on site. Organisers will have a specific liability insurace for the event. 26. EVENT HEADQUARTER A 150 m2 marquee wil be used as HQ. It will host secretariat, registration, briefing, equipment checks and pilots comfort. A wifi connection, AV systems Big wall screen to follow the pilot runs. On board cameras for a selected number of pilots Internet access available for Officials and competitors. 9
27. LOCAL FACILITIES The dedicated site www.gemonaturismo.com offers any useful info about hotels, camping sites, apartments and other accommodation. HQ is 8 km far from Gemona and 1 km from the smaller village of Alesso (Trasaghis). 28. COMPETITION WEBSITE The event will be present and promoted on the website www.vololiberofriuli.it The event dedicated section will be online at least 6 months before the start of the event Championship and will supply all relevant information. The website section will allow online registration. 29. VISAS, VACCINATIONS VISAS On the website of Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation all info needed for Visa. https://www.esteri.it/mae/en/servizi/stranieri/ingressosoggiornoinitalia/visto_ingresso/paesi_soggetti_visto.html VACCINATIONS Yellow fever if people are from an endemic area. No other obligation. 30. EARLY ARRIVALS There aren t particular preclusions about early arrivals. Pilots who will arrive before the beginning of the event, have to contact the local club Volo Libero Friuli ASD in order to manage transport to take off and get any other information they may need. 33. MEDIA COVERAGE, MERCHANDISING A dedicated person will manage public relations and press release. Website; social and online presence; TV, radio and magazines/newspapers. A big wall screen will be positioned at the HQ so that spectators can easily see manoeuvres. In streaming it will be possible to take part to the comp thanks to the on board camera. A dedicated cameraman will be present during all competition days and movies of each run will be recorded and uploaded on the event website. 34. SPONSORSHIP Regional and local government and Sportland project will support the event, but at the moment it is not declared the amount of money which will be dedicated. 35. FINANCE As per budget annexe. 36. ANY ADDITIONAL INFORMATION IN SUPPORT OF THE BID In the last 5 years we have worked hard to promote and develop the aerobatics culture and practice, organising 2/3 FAI 2 events each year and training an increasing number of pilots. According to our aim and goal, we are very proud to present this Bid and to offer to pilots and FAI - CIVL our best experience. 11
