The thieves also took a selection of high end alcohol and some personal property belonging to one or more of our lodge members. In the process of breaking in, they destroyed the doorway at the Santa Barbara street side of the lodge. If at all possible all members are asked to help in anyway in the recovery of anything or helping to restore what was damaged. Donations are being collected as well. Please contact Derrick Rushton at the Santa Paula Moose Lodge (805) 525-9917. The Ventura lodge has donated their lodge for a fund raiser to help us recoup our losses. This event will take place in May 2016. See Derrick Rushton for more information. Try to make it a point to be present at the district meeting. Let us start by taking part in these meetings. If you need a ride or want to carpool, ask around. Also, my term as the Santa Paula Lodge Governor is about to come to an end. What you need to do is start thinking about whom you will be electing as your new Governor. It has been an interesting experience and I have met a lot of new people and made new friends. You certainly helped to make my year! I will remain on the Board of Officers as Past Senior Regent for 2016-2017. I wish our incoming officers a successful new year.
