About the project "Something More Events" Youth Exchange is a part of EVS long term project that YDV is currently running. The main objec7ves of the Exchange are: To explore the skills & competences required for organizing community events Raising awareness about the role that events can take in developing communi7es Allowing par7cipants to gain experience by volunteering in one of Sheffield fes7vals (Tramlines). The project will be divided into two parts: During the first part par7cipants will have an opportunity to be a part of various workshops e.g. social games, team building and crea7vity workshops as well as debates and simula7on games. The second part will be taking part in Tramlines Fes7val. A[endants will be divided into groups with different tasks to take care of during the fes7val (also will have some free 7me to enjoy the concerts).

Who are we looking for? 5 Par7cipants from following countries (including group leaders): Estonia Greece Poland Romania UK You do not have to have experience or knowledge in managing and organizing events. Par7cipants must be aged 18-30 years old.

What are we expeccng from you? To take part in all of the ac7vi7es we are organizing (workshops, sightseeing, team building, volunteering at the Tramlines Fes7val and others) To host an intercultural evening where you will present your country to the other par7cipants by bringing food, drink &/or music and doing whatever crea7ve ideas you have to present your country

Who or what is YDV? Youth Discovery Ventures is a Sheffield based not-for-profit organiza7on YDV supports young people to live ac7ve and engaged lives, to discover their poten7al to create posi7ve change in their personal lives and in the world around them We aim to inspire young people to "be something more than ordinary"

AccommodaCon During the exchange there will be a move between accommoda7ons. The moving will happen in the morning of 22nd July. 1. Hostel: Whirlow Hall Farm, Whirlow Lane, Sheffield, S11 9QF (18th-22 nd July) In the first accommoda7on, par7cipants will be located in two different houses which are separated by a lovely ten minute walk through a tradi7onal Bri7sh meadow. Rooms are dorm style and the par7cipants will receive breakfast, lunch and dinner near to one of the houses they live in. Also workshops and group building ac7vi7es will be held there. The move to Sheffield City center will happen in the morning of 22nd July. 2. Hotel: Sheffield Metropolitan, City Centre (22 nd -25 th July) The second accommoda7on is located near the city center, where they will be in rooms of 2-3 people. Par7cipants will receive basic breakfast, lunch and dinner. On the 23th and 24th July they will get tokens they can exchange for lunch and dinner during the Tramlines Fes7val.

Travel Manchester airport is the most convenient airport to arrive, because it is close to Sheffield and Manchester airport has a train sta7on that connects to Sheffield. There is also Doncaster airport nearby. From Sheffield town center bus number 81 or near the railway sta7on bus number 65 goes close Hostel Whirlow Hall Farm Trust. All train and coach(bus) 7ckets (for example Manchester-Sheffield or London-Sheffield lines), should be bought earlier because they are a lot cheaper when you book them earlier.
