World news Joey Chestnut eats record 74 hot dogs at famous competition Joey 'Jaws' Chestnut from California, USA, has been crowned winner of a famous hot dog eating competition for the 11th year in a row. He was competing in the annual Nathan's Famous International Hot Dog Eating Contest in New York. Joey ate 74 hot dogs in 10 minutes which is a new world record. Yep... SEVENTY FOUR! He really is a 'top dog'. Hosepipe ban Millions of people will be affected by the first hosepipe ban of the summer in England after this year's long heatwave. United Utilities (UU) said a temporary ban in the north-west of England from 5th August would "safeguard essential supplies". They say reservoir levels were already low and that the hot weather expected for the rest of the month will not help. Because it's so hot, it's no surprise that we're using a lot more water to keep cool and stay hydrated. Lots of people will be using more water in their gardens to water plants and lawns.

There s a new water park not far from west London and it s three times bigger than the one before with loads of new and different obstacles. Thorpe Lakes Aqua Park is a huge, inflatable Total Wipeout style obstacle course floating on water with slides, trampolines, monkey bars, climbing frames and more. If you visited the water park at Thorpe Lakes last year, you will notice that the new park, designed by a company called AquaGlide, is completely different in 2018. Firefighters rush to scene of huge grass fire on Hounslow Heath Four fire engines and 25 firefighters have rushed to the scene of a huge grass fire on Hounslow Heath. London Fire Brigade was called at 1.50pm on on Tuesday (July 17) to reports of a large grass fire off Frampton Road, in Hounslow. One hectare of grassland is on fire - roughly the same size as a football pitch. The fire in Hounslow is the latest in a string of grass fires this month, with more than 20 firefighters called to a fire in a Hounslow allotment on Monday morning (July 16).

Wellington news Year 6 production On Wednesday, year 6 preformed their show Mulan to the children of wellington. Even the year 2's from the infants decided to walk over the juniors site to watch the full show with all of their teachers. It was all very successful and year 6 have put a lot of time and effort into making the show perfect for everyone to enjoy. On Thursday they will also be preforming all of the parents. Summer Ball On Tuesday we had the welli fest at wellington. The fair was festival themed and everyone came in wearing bright and colourful clothes. At the fair there were many activities such as: face painting, a dancing competition, a photo booth, etc. Some of the year 6's were very upset to have their last ever summer fair in wellington but they all enjoyed their time. Well done to those who were announced as the best dancer. Everyone showed off all of their moves, and it was very hard to decide only 2 per
