PRESIDENT'S NOTES Hello Everyone, Well, the summer has gone fast. We have some events set for September and Mike has those listed on the calendar. There will be one more LMC get-together when new Mustangs arrive at Pollard Ford. We will have a show and shine to promote the new arrivals. Looking back on August we had a great car show with over 130 cars, lot of visitors and some new members. All of the sponsors were happy with turnout and I think that Wayland was happy with the show and publicity. Big thanks to everyone that took time to help with the show, from parking to checking in to clean-up. Even with the tax free weekend that day we still had a good turnout. Please think of anything that we could do to improve the show and let us know at the next meeting, or email to one of the officers. We ve already discussed more speakers and better audio so all of the entrants can hear us announce door prizes and etc. Thanks again to all of the officers and to all of you for all of your support of the club. Hope you can make our September 4 th meeting to discuss our plans for the rest of the year. John Doc's Thoughts I second what John said about the car show. We had a great turnout and tons of general public onlookers. We had way more than enough volunteers to help with parking, registration and other stuff as well, so from your officers and staff - Thank You! A special thanks to Club President John Robison for getting us the show at Chick-fil-A and two TV remotes to promote our show. Also to Neil Thompson for designing and having made the coolest shirts we've ever had. Thanks John and Neil!

There are still a number of events coming up in the fall for car enthusiasts, including a Show & Shine coming up on the 2nd & 3rd to benefit ALS plus two really big events later - First, here's a great Show & Shine for a great cause coming up on Sept. 2nd & 3rd. The Caprock folks have invited us to join them for this one and they're hoping for about 25 cars. There may be a free burger for drivers and possibly TV coverage. It's from 5 to 9pm each day at Freddie's Steakburgers on Milwaukee. The First Annual Panhandle Crusin for a Cure Car Extravaganza, Sept. 6th at the Westgate Mall in Amarillo. They expect 400 or more cars. Some of the Caprock folks are going up on Friday and there are rooms reserved at a hotel close by for show entrants. Give me a call for info. "Carmageddon", October 4th at the Lubbock Coliseum, put on by the folks at Flat 12 Gallery. There will be a Car Show, a collector car auction and an autocross. Info on these and other events is on Facebook and the "Coming Events" page of the web site. Here's a few pics from the show. All of them are posted on the web site and Facebook.
