PRESIDENT'S NOTES Hello Mustangers, As of this writing Art Woolover is in the recovery stage from heart surgery. Keep Art and Debra in your prayers and we hope for an update on Thursday night. Fall is edging back to the south plains, but as you will see in the newsletter, plenty of requests for cars at various events. A big one is the Carmagedden car show and auction this Saturday. Details in this newsletter, along with info on events in Floydada and surrounding communities. We have our annual Christmas party set for December 12, so make a note on your calendar. We ll be discussing a menu/prices, etc for that event this meeting and possibly next meeting as well. Hope to see you this Thursday October 2 nd. John Mike's Thoughts I'm attaching the flyer for "CARmageddon" coming up on October 4th. Should be a great show with a lot of TV coverage. It's at the Coliseum on the Tech campus, so there should be a lot of lookers. Clubs get to park together at this one, so let's try to show up the Corvettes and others. We are also invited to the annual Cruise to Lamesa for "A Day in the Park" put on by the Caprock Classic Car Club. This is always fun and just about the right distance for a cruise. Check out the "Coming Events" page of the web site for information on these events as well as several Fall and Halloween related shows and the Texas Tech Formula SAE Car Show on November 8th. Several members went to UMC to see Art Woolever on Sunday the 28th. They took a nice plant and a card from all of us. Art was sitting up and looking good. By the time you see this, he should be home. We're looking forward to seeing Art and Debbie at the next show.
