Invitation to sponsors On behalf of the 21st International Conference on Cytochrome P450 (ICCP450) organising committee, it gives us great pleasure to invite you to participate in the 2019 International Conference to be held from 23 27 June 2019 at The University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia. The International Conference on Cytochrome P450 was established in 1976 and has developed into a biennial international series with meetings rotating between Europe, North America and the Asia-Pacific. The Brisbane meeting will be the first to be held in the Southern Hemisphere. Cytochrome P450 enzymes are distributed in all areas of the biosphere and have diverse roles such as in: human drug metabolism, toxicology and hormone biosynthesis; secondary metabolite production in plants (flavours, fragrances, growth promotors); and microbial metabolism (antibiotic production, breakdown of environmental pollutants, utilisation of novel feedstocks). Thus, the cytochrome P450 field is a broad church, bringing together researchers in disparate fields of drug development, biotechnology, clinical medicine, fine chemical synthesis, plant biology, synthetic biology and ecotoxicology. ICCP450 in Australia will bring together researchers and students from diverse disciplines who study P450s from various perspectives and for different reasons. The conference programme will consist of a rich schedule of presentations at the forefront of P450 research in four overarching themes: P450 biochemistry, biophysics and structural biology P450s in drug metabolism and disease P450s across the biosphere: microbes, plants and insects and their interactions Synthetic biology of P450s: engineering novel systems for pharmaceutical and other applications The ICCP450 in Brisbane offers an excellent opportunity for companies to not only build relationships with their regular customers and partners from academia, but it also gives a unique chance to present their products to new customers and to intensify networking with universities and research institutions. Special sessions are planned on the use of P450s in the pharmaceutical industry, for fine chemical synthesis and in novel synthetic biology applications which we anticipate will be attractive to delegates from industry as well as academia. Selection of sponsors will be based on their ability to meet conference requirements and offer innovative solutions.
