Meeting Minutes President Tim Brandt called the meeting to order at 11:33 A.M. on July 22, 2013 at the Jay County Fairgrounds in Portland, IN with 28 members present. Tim welcomed the out-ofstate members and introduced members from the West Michigan Club Bob Brueker, Dave Allers, and Dave Schlaock. Tim thanked everyone for hosting this event. A motion was made to accept the minutes as written in the newsletter by Frankie Hayes, and it was seconded by Donna Renton. The motion passed with a majority show of hands. Treasurer s Report Diane Brandt gave the treasurer s report giving an ending balance for June in the amount of $346.72 and reported an ending balance for July of $279.00.. A motion was made by Charlie Bob Mels to accept the treasury report. It was seconded by Carol Blowers and the motion passed with a majority show of hands Old Business Tom Tucker reported that the Christmas dinner should be changed from Sunday, December 8, to Saturday, December 7, because the shops are open in Plymouth. This was voted on and approved by everyone. Donna Renton reported that her and Don still had some Cushman logo cups for sale at $3.00 each, if anyone is interested. Don (Chip) Weyeneth reported on his upcoming ride and event on August 11. He said that there two hotels available for those who plan on staying the night. He recommended the West Park Motor Inn which is two and a half miles north of Sandusky, Michigan. Please let Chip know if you plan on coming. For more information, see the Schedule of Events below. New Business The West Michigan Club reported on an Antique Car and Tractor Show in Holland, Michigan on July 27. On August 3, they will be participating in the Grand Haven Coast Guard Parade. There will be fireworks on Saturday night and the Coast Guard puts on a great show. Our club is invited to participate. (See the WMCC Newsletter sent via e-mail or attached to this newsletter if sent via snail mail. ) Curtis Blowers recommended that the two clubs get together and have a Central Michigan ride. Joe and Joan O Brien reported on the 2014 CCOA National in Springfield, Illinois. Joe said that there are brochures that describe the event available at their canopy. Don Frasure reported that he has one of the club canopies. It was suggested that he hang on to it until someone else volunteers to carry it for the club.

50/50 Tim Brandt won the 50/50 for $34.00. Adjournment A motion was made by Tom Tucker to adjourn the meeting at 1:38 P.M. and seconded by Don Frasure. The motion passed with a majority show of hands. Motor City Cushman Club: 2013-2014 Schedule of Events Listed below is the approved schedule for this year as voted on at the Planning Meeting. Any additions or changes to the schedule can be submitted to the president or proposed at a club meeting. If attending an event please, RSVP to the Host as soon as possible to make their job easier. August 11: Sandusky Airport Fly-In Breakfast and Get-together and Ride - Chip & Janey Weyeneth will host. Please have your scooters fully gassed and ready to ride. Meet at the Sandusky Airport (two miles north of Sandusky) at 7:00 A.M. for breakfast in the big hanger, which is put on by the Sandusky Flying Club - Price - $6.00. The ride will start promptly at 9:00 A.M., we will stop for lunch. The ride will continue on and finish back at the airport. After the ride, there will be a nice sit down dinner at a local restaurant for those who are interested. There is rustic camping available at the Airport. RSVP 810-648-3396 or cell 810-334-2831. Motels are also available in the area. August 20-25: Cruise Old Highway 27 - Paul and Diane Jones will host this event. You do not have to do the whole ride, you can come in and leave anywhere on the route. More information will follow. R.S.V.P. 313 605-3831 September 8: Battle of the Brits Hosted by the Metro Triumph Riders who support Childrens Hosptial of Michigan Foundation. We have been personally invited to a join in on a motorcycle, car show and swap meet being held at Camp Dearborn, 1700 General Motors Rd. Milford, MI. Registration begins at 8:00 A.M. There is a preregistration form attached to this newsletter. September 15: Motor City Cushman Club At The Somewhere in Time Car Show - Trenton, Michigan - Mike & Colleen Niefert will host this event at Elizabeth Park. Food and beverages will be available on site or at the Taste of Trenton. Bring your own chairs. You must pre-register to participate. Contact the Niefert s at 734-676-1522 for more information. September 27-29: Fall Trailster / Road Ride Alpena, MI - Paul & Diane Jones will host this event. Lots of riding, plus a ship wreck glass bottom boat ride, and more. R.S.V.P. Paul at 313-928-0182/ October 6: Franklin Cider Mill Ride - Lee and Sandra Phillips will host this event. More information will follow. Rain day is October 13. November 10: Thanksgiving Dinner and Meeting - Larry & Diana Edmondson will host this event at the Big Bear Lodge, 25253 Telegraph Road, Brownstown Twp, MI 48134. West Michigan Cushman Club Newsletter Following are our planned activities for August 2013: - August 3, 2013. We will be participating in the Grand Haven Coast Guard Parade. Meet at Ken Hossink s house in Holland, MI at about 10:00 or 10:30 a.m. We will leave his house at 11:00 and ride to Grand Haven. We will then be staged and moved into the parade route at the appropriate time. After the parade we will then ride back to Ken s house for some hamburgers. Ken lives at 2525 Beeline Road. That is just north of James Street. Call Ken to confirm that you will be coming. His phone is 616-786-3627. - August 24, 2013. We will be riding from South Haven, MI. Meet at Dave and Bette Allers house at about 9:30 a.m. We will leave at 10:00 for a ride east to the Grand Junction inland

lake area. On the way back we will stop at the Riverside School for a tour and for lunch. The school is owned by and has been renovated by members Dave and Judy Schlaack. After lunch we will ride into South haven on our way back to Dave and Bette s house. Dave and Bette live at 71290 6 th Ave. in South Haven. Phoenix Street/Road is the main east-west street. Travel east on Phoenix to County Road 689. Turn south and go half a mile to 6 th Ave. Turn east and Dave and Bette s house is on the left. Park in the drive or on the lawn or at Dave s gray barn across the street. Details about this ride will be announced as soon as they are finalized. - The Motor City Cushman Club has the following rides planned and they have invited all of our members to participate: - August 11, 2013. Meet at the Sandusky, MI airport at 7:00 a.m. for breakfast and to ride.
