Later we will take a short bus ride to the 02 and enjoy an evening of ten-pin bowling at Brooklyn Bowl. 20 SEPTEMBER Crazy Golf at Junkyard Come along for a brilliant afternoon at Junkyard an indoor crazy golf course here in the centre of London. SPECIAL EVENTS 6 SEPTEMBER: Barbu Daring, daft and sexy as hell! Packed with astonishing acrobatics and perfectly-groomed beards, this is cabaret but not as you know it. Performed by one of the world s greatest circus companies Canada s Cirque Alfonse. A spectacularly raucous and sexy circus, BARBU (the company behind 2013 s madcap lumberjack circus Timber!) will take the form of edge-of-your-seat, off-the-wall entertainment to a whole other level with breathtakingly sweaty performances. Set to a heart thumping score, circus and mayhem collide to wow you in this adventure of almighty skills and muscly torsos. 28 SEPTEMBER: Bjork Digital at Somerset House The European premiere of Björk Digital, an exhibition of digital and video works, resulting from Björk s collaborations with some of the finest visual artists and programmers in the world. Björk constantly and consistently challenges the status quo, pushing the boundaries of what is possible in music, art and technology. The exhibition at Somerset House invites visitors to engage with her work through the latest in virtual reality (VR) technology.
FASCINATING MUSEUMS AND GALLERIES 7 SEPTEMBER: 15.15 Museum of London 350 years ago one of the most infamous disasters struck London the Great Fire of 1666. Experience the destruction of London through the eyes of people who were there at the time, explore the evidence for yourself and find out how the city rose from the ashes in this interactive exhibition. 14 SEPTEMBER: Tate Modern and Switch Building This is your first opportunity to see the new extension to the Tate Modern Gallery creating 60% more space, new social areas and a wonderful view of the river from the tops floors. Don t miss out on see the new Switch Building! 21 SEPTEMBER: Natural History Museum Join us for an afternoon at the wonderful Natural History Museum. This is a truly world-class museum housing thousands of examples of the natural world in one of London s most impressive building. Visit the Museum's world-famous dinosaurs - come face to face with a towering T. rex in a new viewing area, and discover the feathered Deinonychus.
5 OCTOBER: Turner Prize at Tate The Turner prize is one of the most important, and most controversial, awards given to British artists. Come along to this year s exhibition to see what the judges have considered to be the best art in the UK of the last 12 months. 11 OCTOBER: Imperial War Museum This afternoon we will be visiting the fascinating Imperial War Museum in South London which tells the stories of people s experiences of modern war from WW1 to conflicts today. 18 OCTOBER: Victoria & Albert Museum The Victoria and Albert Museum is the world's largest museum of decorative arts and design, housing a permanent collection of over 4.5 million objects. It was founded in 1852 and named after Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. Its collection spans 5,000 years of art, from ancient times to the present day, from the cultures of Europe, North America, Asia and North Africa.
FABULOUS WALKS AND TOURS 1 September: 2000 Years of London History Join our teacher Owen (who s also a fully qualified London tour guide!) and his lovely little dog Jess to walk around the historic heart of the City of London. We ll start at the magnificent St. Paul s Cathedral and see Roman ruins, modern skyscrapers and everything inbetween! 8 SEPTEMBER: Walk along the Southbank Join us for a lovely walk along the river, we ll see the National Theatre, London Eye, Tate Modern, Shakespeare s Globe, HMS Belfast, Tower Bridge and finally end at the Mayor s Office! Head to Borough Market afterwards for dinner! 22 SEPTEMBER: Blackfriars City Hunt Whether you're new to an area or you're an old local, you're bound to discover some fantastic hidden places and quirky stories. In each hunt there are between 20 and 30 clues to solve. Your score will be calculated by taking the average of your speed and your correct answers - so race and get as many as you can, or go slowly and solve more.
29 SEPTEMBER: Soho & Chinatown Join us for walk around the fascinating area of Soho and learn some of the stories of this famous part of London. We ll begin at the school, go through Soho and London s Theatreland, cross Trafalgar Square and finish at the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben. 6 OCTOBER: Camden & Brewery Tour The afternoon will start with a walk through Regents Park, along London s canals and into Camden Market. Then we will join a guided tour of the Camden Brewery if you love your English beer on a Friday after school, now you can see how it s made! 13 OCTOBER: London s Royal Gardens Come on a lovely walk through the Royal Gardens of London - Kensington Gardens, Hyde Park and Green Park - and see all the special locations associated with the Royal Family. Hear all the stories and gossip about The Queen, Charles and Diana and many others. You won t believe how green central London is!
20 OCTOBER Greenwich and the Meridian Line Join our teacher Owen and his beautiful little dog Jess for a walk in Greenwich, one of London s oldest and most atmospheric areas. Come and see the beautiful Victorian ship the Cutty Sark. Walk under the River Thames through one of London s oldest foot tunnels. Climb the hill in Greenwich Park to see the most amazing views back onto central London. And stand on the Prime Meridian, the line which separates the hemispheres - so you can have one foot in the eastern hemisphere and one in the western! 26 OCTOBER: Under the Bridges of the River Thames See the Thames from an unusual angle - from underneath the bridges of the River Thames! Join our teacher Owen (who s also a qualified London tour guide) and his lovely little dog Jess to walk along the northern shore of the Thames and into the City of London. See ancient and modern buildings and hear some fascinating stories about this beautiful area.
GREAT NIGHTS AT THE THEATRE 31 AUGUST: Shakespeare's Globe Macbeth Come and see Shakespeare s shortest, bloodiest play - Macbeth at the Globe Theatre, a powerful, sexy night out in the theatre! It tells a really gripping story of the Scottish warrior Macbeth who is tricked by three evil witches, becomes king but ends up unhappy and alone, before dying horribly... 19 OCTOBER: The Lion King The most beautiful, amazing and enjoyable musical ever presented in London! We re so proud to offer a trip to Disney s incredible Lion King. You ve probably seen the film, but you won t believe how wonderful it is on stage. 27 OCTOBER: The Mousetrap The Mousetrap is a murder mystery play by Agatha Christie. The Mousetrap opened in the West End of London in 1952, and has been running continuously since then!

Weekend Day Trips 3 SEPTEMBER: Blackpool ( 40) Blackpool is a seaside town in the northwest of England. We travel by coach early Saturday morning and arrive around lunchtime. From the time we arrive we will have 10 hours to explore and we'll be able to see the famous Illuminations on the sea front. The day is all free time if you want to do your own thing but we have a number of suggestions if you need ideas. For the return, we travel overnight to arrive in London early on Sunday morning. 10 SEPTEMBER: Hastings & Rye ( 25) On the Hastings & Rye trips, we visit the charming harbour town of Rye in the morning and end the day with a visit to Hastings. After a guided walk around Rye, visit the old churches, the castle museum or have a cream tea in one of the traditional tea rooms. In Hastings, we go up in the cliff lift to get spectacular views of the town and the sea. 17 SEPTEMBER: Stratford-apon-Avon ( 27) Stratford-upon-Avon s most famous resident has got to be William Shakespeare and so it is no surprise that almost every attraction has a Shakespeare connection. The trip begins with a guided walk around Stratford that includes most of the main attractions. In the free time, you will be able to visit Shakespeare's House and his wife's family home (Anne Hathaway's Cottage)
24 SEPTEMBER: Oxford ( 26) Oxford University is the oldest in the English-speaking world and so any trip to this city is dominated by the college buildings. The trip begins with a guided walk of the city, where students will see most of Oxford's main sights. The rest of the day is free time. 1 OCTOBER: Warwick Castle ( 35) Britain's greatest Mediaeval experience is at Warwick Castle. The Castle is over a thousand years old and has been well maintained with magnificent towers and ramparts. There are many attractions at Warwick Castle from dungeons to the Great Hall, State Rooms and the Royal Weekend Party of 1898. You can climb some of the towers and visit the well laid out exhibitions, many have wax figures. Many forms of medieval entertainment are staged at the castle, such as the acting out of battles, jousting tournaments and displays of medieval weapons. 8 OCTOBER: Cardiff ( 38) Experience a different country, language and culture in the capital of Wales. The trip begins with a guided tour of the city which ends at the castle. Entry to the castle is included in the price and then you will have free time to explore.
