EXPRESS S T A T I STICS FCR The following tables show the financial and operating statistics for 1925.of.the express companies operating in Canada. The express business over the Canadian Pacific Railway is handled by the Dominion Express Company, the stock being owned by the Canadian Pacific Railway. This expres rnariy also operated. on 2,8014 miles of other Bteam railways, on 113.5 miles of electril ri1wys and on the Canadian Pacific ocean and lake steamboat iins. The exprebs uiness of the Canadin National Railway is handled by a depatrnent of the :ruilwa,r and the tb1es include reveiues and expenses of that deparrent. The ci.ta in Table 1 are the stock of the express companies and the ath'ances received from the ra.1way system. The department handles the express buines over the steam and electric lines and on the steam boats of the system and also on1,2-13 miles of other, steam railways and on several electric rai)wvs. The AmLic.n RPilWay Express Company operated mainly on the Canadian secticns of Unitel itates zailways --nl the etatistics cover only the Canadian oper'.ions. The Brt.t5h.&a1eru.an Express Company operates over the line6 of the Algcma Cr.ral F,.nd Hidson Bay and the Aigoma Eastern railways and the Central Canada xprec Cempe.ny op3rates over the lines of the Edmonton, Dunveganand. British Columbia, the Central Canada, and the Alberta and Great Waterways railways.
