Community For the summer we are moving some of our groups outside into the sunshine. Come along with your under 5s and their siblings to enjoy some fun outdoor activities for all the family. Family Fun in the Park We will be supporting this event run by the Axminster Health and Wellbeing Centre. Come along and join in with the wide range of activities on offer: hide and seek, face painting, puzzles and races. Wear comfortable clothing and footwear and don t forget the sunscreen! Children of all ages are welcome and need to be accompanied by an adult. s These groups provide all sorts of different play activities for you and your child to share and enhance your child s learning. The events feature themed activities in a community near you. Nature Walk It s a lovely time of the year to take a gentle walk and explore nature. Come and join us, it will be great whatever the weather! Bug Hunting How many little beasties can you find? Come bug hunting with us in our outdoor play session for the under 5s and their families and let s see what we can discover! Buggy Walk Come with us for a buggy walk where we can explore the great outdoors together. Teddy Bears Picnic Come for a Teddy Bears Picnic, activities and fun. Group information Library Bounce and Rhyme A participative lively group, suitable for babies and toddlers, includes singing songs and rhymes with accompanying actions. All About Babies Incorporating Here s Looking at You Baby, this postnatal group covers topics relating to the early months and includes information on brain development, early communication, play, resuscitation and childhood illnesses. Bookable through your Health Visitor. A sociable group for expectant parents and babies up to one year old. A great place to meet other mums and dads. Our friendly children s centre worker will be on hand to answer your questions or to simply have a chat! Healthy Babies UK will be offering breastfeeding support too. Drop in to see our health visitors and our children s centre staff with as many questions as you may have. A supportive group for multiple birth families. Toast! Bookable with your children s centre. A small welcoming group to support all aspects of parenting. Tea and toast is offered during the session. Messy This session will be very messy so please don t bring your child in their best clothes! All groups for the Autumn term will start the week beginning Monday 8 September. Our Autumn Term timetable will be available at the centres or online from mid August.
