This increase in traffic was primarily due to Thanksgiving being later in November, causing part of the return leg of Thanksgiving traffic to occur in December. Significant activity by carrier follows: Airline US Airways Delta American Southwest JetBlue Comments 4.% increase in passenger growth New service to Wilmington, NC and Myrtle Beach in February 213 Increased service to Philadelphia in January 213, Buffalo, Cincinnati and Memphis in February 213, Albany, Jacksonville and Manchester NH in April 213, Norfolk VA and Rochester NY in September 213, and Ft. Lauderdale in December 213.9% increase in passenger traffic Reduced service to Atlanta and Memphis in September 213 Added a daily departure to New York La Guardia in October 213.5% increase in passenger activity Additional daily departure to Miami in December 213 19.2% increase in passenger traffic New service to Houston Hobby in August 213 15.4% increase in passenger traffic with increased seat capacity to Ft. Lauderdale and Orlando passenger traffic declined 1.7% and was primarily a result of US Airways discontinuing service to Ottawa in February 213 and reducing service to Montreal and Toronto in April 213. US Airways, including its regional affiliates, had the largest commercial passenger market share with 43.8%, a decrease compared to 44.3% in December 212. 1

Washington Dulles Airport Passenger Activity Lower domestic passenger traffic on United, Delta, Virgin America, and American resulted in a 3.7% decline in domestic commercial activity compared to December 212. Significant domestic activity by carrier follows: Airline United Delta Virgin America Comments 3.8% decrease in passenger activity Discontinued service to Allentown/Bethlehem in March 213, Manchester and Pensacola in April 213, and Clarksburg in July 213, and Ft. Lauderdale and Salt Lake City in December 213 and reduced service to Denver, Greensboro, Minneapolis, and Syracuse in December 213 New service to Fayetteville in March 213 and Grand Rapids in May 213 Increased service to Austin, Beckley, Cleveland, Los Angeles, Morgantown, and New Orleans 7.9% decline in passenger activity Discontinued service to Cincinnati in March 213, reduced service to La Guardia in September 213 and New York (JFK) in January 213 and again in December 213 8.6% decline in passenger activity Reduced service to San Francisco from 4 daily departures to 2 in September 213 passenger traffic hit a record 7. million passengers in 213, an increase of 4.6% compared to the 212 calendar year. December 213 international traffic increased 5.1% compared to a year ago. Significant activity by carrier follows: Airline United British Airways TACA Comments 6.9% decrease in passenger activity Reduced service to Kuwait in October 213 and Cancun, Toronto and Zurich in December 213 and discontinued service to Punta Cana in December 213 New service to San Salvador in January 213 and additional weekly departures to Ottawa, Manchester, and Montreal 18.4% increase in passengers Additional 6 weekly departures to London compared to December 212 37.4% growth in passenger activity Additional 4 weekly departures to San Salvador in December 213 24.7% increase in passenger traffic due to larger aircraft Emirates Brussels New service to Brussels began in June 213 Etihad New service to Abu Dhabi began in March 213 United Airlines, including its regional affiliates, had the largest commercial passenger market share of 65.5%, a decrease compared to 67.8% in December 212. Cargo Activity Total cargo (mail and freight) was 5.4% lower for the year compared to 212. For the month of December, total cargo decreased 4.8% from December 212. cargo declined 22.7% mainly due to a 16.8% decline in Dulles s largest domestic cargo carrier, FedEx, due to reductions in inbound freight as heavier shipments were shifted to ground service. FedEx activity at BWI declined 4.9%. Moreover, domestic cargo on United declined 41.2% as United has shifted to narrow-body aircraft. cargo increased 8.% due to increases Air France (58.6%), British Airways (21.3%), and new carriers such as Etihad and Brussels Airlines. cargo increased 1.9% for the 213 calendar year. Baltimore-Washington Airport Current month commercial passenger activity vs. December 212 increased 6.8%; overall passenger activity declined.8% for the calendar year. BWI commercial passenger traffic of 1.8M surpassed Dulles by 87.6K passengers (5.%) and National by 26.6K passengers (12.7%). passenger volume increased 19.1% to 68.7K. Southwest had the largest passenger market share with 72.7%, compared to 71.2% in December 212. Cargo activity totaled 9.8K metric tonnes, a.4% decline from a year earlier. 2
