Welcome our guests Rhonda and Brian Wilder. Secretary s Report- Sandy asked to receive the minutes as printed in the newsletter. Motion was made and seconded, all accepted. Financial Report- Karen sent the report to everyone via email. Motion was made, seconded and accepted by all. Wagon master- Chuck asked for a show of hands for those going to the November Samboree in Eustis. It is up to everyone to keep up with the events going on, there isn t a host. Dick has a list for those interested in playing Bocce Ball and Bean Baseball so please sign up. He will be turning the info in for our teams, so if you want to play let Dick know. December- Ormond Beach hosted by Ritcey & Allan. The RV park is a wagon train setup around the recreation center. Each member bring an elephant exchange gift and $10 brown bagged child gift. Rick asked if the hosts would like help with the table decorations. The reply was sure. January will be at Lake Ocklawaha. Historian Report- Jody said she was still working on it. Sunshine Report- Sherry Wheeler reported she was able to accompany Jane on one of her chemo treatments. Jane has truly enjoyed all of our cards. Our angel brought in a lovely scrapbook for Jane and all of us signed the inside page. Ernie went over and cleaned their gutters to help out. Big Thanks. Keep them in your prayers. Sandy asked Rick to report on his daughter. They went to Illinois for about 3 ½ months and worked to get their daughter sitting and the trach out. With Rick and Sue working daily, they were able to achieve it in a couple of weeks. They also have been able to successfully get her on SSA with the help of a congressman. Cherry is considered a quadriplegic. She is improving slowly and with the SSA will be able to receive the care she needs to keep improving. Thanks for the cards, she was very touched and enjoys looking at them. Old Business- Gary asked for the money for Ted to purchase lottery tickets for us to raffle at next month s rally in Eustis and $50 cash to put on lotto ticket board to draw more interest. Dick motioned to accept the proposal and Ken seconded, all were 4

in favor. Please make a point of helping our chapter s charities, Boggy Creek and Florida Guide Dogs, by volunteering to assist in the sale of the raffle tickets. Rules: Officers will meet in November to discuss all presented by Ken last month. They will then bring any changes back for the chapter to discuss and vote on. Ken added that the rules he printed were not his but voted for in the past by the chapter. He is passing out a new set with that stated. Rick thanked Ken again for all of his work on this project. Be sure to read the material given or mailed to you before the December meeting. If you have questions or concerns please let an officer know, so we can bring it up at that time. New Business- Karen asked that everyone check the membership list she has and make any changes needed as well as updating your Good Sam membership date. Karen also needs to know how much money we are donating for each of our charities: Boggy Creek, FL Guide Dogs, Wounded Warriors and Rodeheaver Boy s Ranch. She also asked for everyone to turn in their Pennies for Pouches money which is a separate account. We need to collect Pennies for Pouches money and get an amount to donate to Boggy Creek and FL Guide Dogs. We can decide about the other charities at the end of the year. Someone asked what Pennies for Pouches was for. Sue explained it was to pay for training of dogs for Vets, whether it be blind, deaf, PTSD, ect. There was an issue about the FL Guide Dogs, but that was cleared by Good Sams. Gary motioned to give $200 to each charity at the Eustis Samboree. Sandy seconded and all were in favor. Ken announced he had some extra 2017 calendars if anyone needs another. Rick reported that 80 t-shirts were ordered with 16 extra for the club for a total of $684.65. We collected $815.20, so we have an excess of $130.55. Sandy motioned, Ted seconded to donate the money to our charities. All were in favor. Rick and Dick will carry our flag to represent us in Eustis. Today s plans- Bean bag baseball inside at 11 AM. We will meet at 5:15 to go to the Ozona Blue Restaurant, go north to Tampa Road and turn left to Orange due to traffic. We will meet after dinner for games in the club house.
