Notice of Road Closures and Parking Restrictions Saturday 6th & Sunday 7th October 2018 This booklet contains details of all road closures and parking restrictions around the Bournemouth Marathon Festival Route. Please read this information carefully. Hundreds of runners will be taking part raising money for many local and national charities. Please come out and support them as they complete their race. Zone 1 To the residents and businesses of The Borough of Bournemouth Council and Borough of Poole Council. Please find enclosed in this booklet details of all road closures and parking restrictions in your area on Saturday 6th & Sunday 7th October 2018. The event organisers in association with The Borough of Bournemouth Council and Borough of Poole Council have striven to minimise the disruptive impact of the event to allow those directly affected to carry on with their daily routine with as little inconvenience as possible. Please take note of the information provided and do not park within these areas during the times stated. Every effort will be made to keep traffic flowing as freely and smoothly as possible. Please note Emergency Service vehicles will not be affected by any of the restrictions. Please look at the map below and select which zone you live in. Some areas have special arrangements for residents, these will be detailed within your zone pages. The zone pages are specified at the bottom of page 2. Here you can find the latest time for any road closure and parking restrictions. Also full details about road closure and parking restriction in your zone. If you live near a zone boundary, please check both zones that affect you. Road Closures means that you will not be able to access and drive on the road stated. Parking Restrictions means that you will not be able to park on the road stated. It does not necessarily mean that the road will be closed. Please note that some parking restrictions will start on Saturday 6th October. P To minimise disruption in Zone 1, there will be an Access/Exit point for residents of Harbour Road. There will be a marshal at the top of the road who will allow access and egress during the times stated below. Please be patient when exiting or entering as marshals may need to communicate with each other to ensure that this can be done safely. If you wish to exit or enter using a vehicle during the closure period but do not live on a road that connects to one of these access points we suggest moving your vehicle prior to closure times to a street that does connect or altering your journey times. Residents should follow the direction of the blue arrows to enter and exit the area. This may mean that your route is a little longer. This will be in operation from 10.30 am until 4.00 pm. Traffic will be maintained Eastbound along West Cliff Road. Please follow diversion signs for travelling Westbound. Please note that restrictions are for vehicles only, pedestrian use is not restricted. 12
