Day 13Jun 29 Emerald Princess Barcelona Today, we will arrive at Barcelona, the capital of the autonomous community of Catalonia in Spain and the country's 2nd largest city. It is the 10th most visited city in the world and the third most visited in Europe after London and Paris, with several million tourists every year. Barcelona is ranked the most popular city to visit in Spain and the boulevard Las Ramblas is often the first landmark that most tourists identify with the city. After our disembarkation, we will enjoy a panoramic sightseeing tour of Barcelona. First, we will discover the Waterfront area looking over the sea including the Old Port, Barcelonese neighborhood and some amazing historical buildings like the Gothic Shipyards along the way. Afterwards, we will head to the Olympic Village of Barcelona and the Montjuic Hill. We will drive uphill where we will have an orientation walk to discover the parks, art galleries and museums of the area with the 1992 Olympic Ring of Sports Stadiums. Then, we will see Plaza Espana, the Magic Fountains, the National Palace and other buildings from the 1929 World s Fair around the foot of Montjuic hill. The Church will have three grand facades: the Nativity facade to the East, the Passion facade to the West, and the Glory facade to the South. Sagrada Familia Visiting Certificates will be provided. After lunch, we will visit Park Güell - which was built in the years 1900 to 1914 and is one of the largest architectural works in south Europe. Located mid-cliff, we will reach the monastery via cog railroad and after the visit will take the cable car downhill to our bus. Atop the hill at the monastery your guide will show you around and explain more about the monastery grounds. Then, we will return to Barcelona, and enjoy the rest of the day on our own. Barcelona Los Angeles We will transfer to the airport in the early morning and take a flight to Los Angeles. We will stay overnight in Los Angeles.
