THE CITY OF ST. PETE BEACH IS TURNING 60! We will be celebrating with a champagne brunch open to the public at the Don Cesar on Sunday, July 9, 2017 at 11am. Get ready to take a trip down memory lane with a presentation from the Gulf Beaches Historical Museum, capturing the growth of the city over the past 60 years. We will hear from locals about the history of the city and reflect on great pictures and videos. At the brunch, we will present the Best of St. Pete Beach awards honoring the best hotels, restaurants and live music in our community. Join us in celebrating the city, its residents and businesses! Tickets are on sale now at The St. Pete Beach Community Center, 7701 Boca Ciega Dr, for $60 each. Space is limited. DIVE-IN MOVIES Summer Dive-In Movies are back at the St. Pete Beach Community Aquatic Center, 7701 Boca Ciega Drive. Bring your noodles, floats and chairs to lounge by the pool while watching a movie on our big inflatable screen out under the stars! Our next Dive-In Movie will be on Friday, June 16th featuring Jungle Book. Snacks, drinks and glow jewelry will be sold. No outside coolers or food allowed. Doors open at 8:00pm. MESSAGE FROM THE PINELLAS COUNTY SHERIFF S OFFICE- The Pinellas County Sheriff s Office is encouraging the public to be on alert of scammers targeting elderly citizens identifying and posing as employees of the water department. Victims are told there is a water leak in their home and once the suspects gain entry, one suspect distracts the victim while the other suspect steals various jewelry and valuables. Pinellas County Sheriff s Department encourages citizens to not allow anyone entry into their home without first verifying the status of their employment by either contacting your local water department or the Pinellas County Sheriff s office at 727.582.6200.

PETE BEACH COMMUNITY CENTER- Full and half day summer camps are being offered at the St. Pete Beach Community Center, 7701 Boca Ciega Drive, for children completed Kindergarten through 6 th grade. Our full day camp program from May 30 th to August 4 th will keep kids entertained all summer long with weekly field trips, swimming, and indoor & outdoor activities. Fun is guaranteed with events including beach days, Astroskate, MOSI, and the Xtreme Fun Center. We are also offering half-day specialty camps for ages 8+ such as Archery and Lego Robotics to teach your child the basics of some of the coolest hobbies. The fireworks will be staged on Upham Beach. All normal beach and parking ordinances will be in effect. The Upham Beach entrances will be closed to the public starting at 6pm and a beach launch area will be established. For more information, contact the City of St. Pete Beach at 727.367.2735. With this new tool, residents can submit, track, and view nearby service requests through their smartphones, online, via phone, and SMS. Residents can also use the app to find information on public health, safety warnings, evacuation notices, severe weather and major service interruptions as they occur through notifications sent right to your device.
