TO BE READ BY: TRAIN COMPANY RETAIL STAFF ON-TRAIN STAFF TRAVEL AGENTS U 6 THAMESLINK NEWS Thameslink FlyAway ticket to Gatwick and Luton Airport Parkway Fixed Fare of 50.00 for 4 people The reopening of Thameslink's cross- route on 16 May has restored direct trains between Luton and Sutton and between Bedford and Brighton, serving both Luton and Gatwick Airports. The Thameslink FlyAway ticket represents outstanding value for money for small groups. For a fixed fare of 50.00, between one and four adults or children can travel on the date shown on the FlyAway ticket between any station served by Thameslink, and either Gatwick or Luton Airport Parkway and return up to one month later. Only one ticket will be issued to cover up to four people in the party, all of whom must travel together at all times. FlyAway tickets are fully inter-available, so they can be used on any train - regardless of train operating company - and must carry the + cross- marker. The FlyAway ticket validity is the same as that of a Standard Open Return, meaning that ticket holders can travel at any time and may return by any train within one calendar month. No Railcard discounts apply to the FlyAway product. For each FlyAway ticket, up to 4 additional accompanied children can travel for the flat fare of 1.00 each. Please refer to Section E of the National Fares Manual: TK Thameslink and Southern Accompanied Child 1 Flat Fare (Kids for a Quid). FlyAway tickets can also be used from Gatwick and from Luton Airport Parkway for journeys to any station served by Thameslink. Park and FlyAway from Luton Airport Parkway Many people heading for Gatwick Airport are nervous about the drive around the M25 and the possibility of getting caught up in traffic. For people living north of the Thames and flying from Gatwick Airport, the answer could be to drive to Luton Airport Parkway station, leave their car at Thameslink's adjacent multi-storey car park and take the train direct to Gatwick. There are up to four trains an hour between Luton Airport Parkway and Gatwick Airport with a typical journey time of just 1 hour 20 minutes. There are 815 spaces in the multi-storey car park at Luton Airport Parkway station. It is staffed and monitored by CCTV 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Charges are 4.20 a day and 20.00 a week.
