CHAIR'S REMARKS Dave reported that the Clerk's office is working on a by-law to allow the train to travel on city streets. City of Brockville BRTC Meeting Minutes - Wednesday, December 06, 2017 NEW BUSINESS ARISING FROM THE MINUTES Nil. DELEGATIONS/PRESENTATIONS Nil. CORRESPONDENCE & COMMUNICATIONS Nil. STAFF REPORTS 1. North Gorge Conal reported that the ramp at the north end is almost complete. He said they were unable to get the paving done as the weather turned too cold. Conal noted that work will be completed in the spring. SUB-COMMITTEE AND MEMBER REPORTS/PROJECT UPDATES 1. Priority List The Committee reviewed and discussed the list, Jack made adjustments and will forward an updated copy to be attached to the next meeting agenda. 2. Fundraising Linda discussed the fact that Joyce is unable to continue assisting with the record keeping and donation letters. Therefore Linda met with David Dick, Director of Corporate Services, and he has agreed to provide some staff support. 3. Marketing Jack reported that a young entrepreneur has approached them regarding operating an "Escape Room" in the caboose. Jack said they are working on Page 2 of 4 Page 4 of 16

THAT BRTC supports the City entering into an agreement with Ottawa Tasting Tours to operate an Escape Room in the caboose; and THAT this recommendation be forwarded to Council for their approval. 4. Tunnel Kiosk signs and sponsorship/contribution to cover costs CARRIED Jim R. and Doug G. circulated pictures of the kiosk signs, adding that they have been working on the design and ideas for installation of the signs. The quote from Gordon Signs was discussed, with the following recommendations: Moved by: Jim R. Seconded by: Keith THAT the initial design for the kiosk signs be approved. Moved by: Jack Seconded by: Jim C. CARRIED THAT the quote from Gordon Signs at approximately $7,000 be accepted. Tunnel operation/fees Hours of Operation/Events Weddings User Fees There was a discussion regarding opening for special events and the extra costs to do so in the winter. Through the next few months the Committee, with the assistance of David Bouwers of Ford Electric, will work on ideas for special events regarding lighting, music etc. PUBLIC RELATIONS 1. Operation Hours Schedule for 2018 The tunnel is scheduled to open on Easter Weekend in 2018. (March 31 - April 1) NEW BUSINESS 1. City staff support - social media and travel sites This item will be reviewed more thoroughly at the next meeting.
