Big Sur: Person wanted to report that his roommate went on a day hike and has not returned home. area: A 10-year-old female ran from her foster mother after acting out. MONDAY, MARCH 3 -by-the-sea: A citizen reported a seal on the beach near the rock embankment below scenic and 11th. The officer responded and posted marine mammal caution signs to notify dog owners. The young elephant seal appeared to be a little underweight; however, no injuries were noted. It appeared to be resting. The Marine Mammal Center employees arrived, and due to the location of the seal and dog activity on the beach, they relocated the seal to the Point Lobos area. -by-the-sea: Reporting party said that his computer was taken from the back seat of his unlocked vehicle while it was parked on Fifth Avenue. Later, the computer was found in another car s back seat and brought to the station.
