Access East Midlands Airport to Derby City Centre From East Midlands Airport, there are two options to reach the Derby city centre: bus or taxi. BUS: The Skylink bus operates between East Midlands Airport and Derby City Centre every 30 minutes during the day and every hour during the night. The journey takes about 35-40 minutes and a single ticket costs 4.20. There is no need to book in advance as bus tickets can be purchased from the bus driver or from the Airport Information Desk. The time table can be found at https://www.trentbarton.co.uk/services/skylinkderby/timetable. From Derby, you can catch the bus back to the airport at the main bus station, bay 12. East Midlands airport to Derby city centre bus route TAXIS: Taxis are available at the airport and you can also book the East Midlands Airport official taxi private hire services ( Arrow Cars 01332 814 000 ). From the city centre, the journey will cost around 25-30 and last around 20 minutes. We recommend avoiding yellow cabs as they are considerably more expensive. Birmingham International Airport to Derby Train Station TRAIN: you can take trains directly from the Birmingham International Airport. For Derby, you will first travel to Birmingham New Street, this is a 10 minute direct train journey, with seven services per hour from Birmingham International. From Birmingham New Street, there are about 3 trains every hour departing for Derby. The journey lasts just over 1 hour and the cost of a single ticket can vary from 5 to 40. You can view schedules, prices and book online here: http://www.thetrainline.com/. You can also buy a ticket at the airport at the ticket office or via self-service machines.

Birmingham International to Derby train station train route TAXIS: the car ride from Birmingham Airport to Derby city centre will last around 1hour. Airport taxis UK service quotes from 65 for the journey. You can get an instant quote from their website at http://www.airporttaxis-uk.co.uk/ or call +44 203 478 8892. These taxis must be pre-booked (at least 2 days in advance) and pre-paid via credit/debit card. You can also find taxis at the airport taxi bay, although these might be more expensive.

Evening Event Details Evening Event no. 1 Tuesday, May 15, 2018: Evening Event: Visit to the Rolls-Royce Heritage Centre, followed by dinner at the Spice Lounge Additional Details: Buses will take participants straight from the Meeting Venue to the Rolls-Royce Heritage Centre and then on to the restaurant. The dinner is self-funded, in that each participant will be required to pay for their own meal. Rolls-Royce has negotiated a price of 35.00 per person including drinks Time & Meeting point: departure from the meeting venue at 18:30 for the Heritage Centre.
