The standard fee will be in effect for registrations received between September 23 and October 15. The Golden Nugget Biloxi has undergone a beautiful renovation and is the talk of the town. The full-service hotel features several restaurants, including Morton s Steakhouse and Bubba Gump Shrimp Company. The Chocolate Box near the conference center features candies and ice cream. Room reservations should be made by Sunday, September 28 to be assured of these per night rates. Additional Information Shell Landing Golf Club 3499 Shell Landing Blvd, Gautier Shell Landing was selected as the Best Public Golf Course in the State by the Mississippi Business Journal. The course offers a diverse terrain as it cuts through pines, rolling hills, bayous and marshland. A hamburger buffet will be served prior to the shotgun start. Golf will be on Thursday afternoon. Provide own transportation to and from golf outing. Be sure to include your handicap or average score on the registration form. Shell Landing Tour of Grand Bay National Wildlife Refuge 6005 Bayou Heron Road, Moss Point The morning tour will begin at 9:30 and the afternoon tour will begin at 1. However, both groups will meet together at Noon for lunch and a presentation on the Reserve System. The tour will feature a boat ride through the reserve where you will see a Maritime forest and explore a small vegetated American Indian Midden, as well as a walking tour to see Pine Savanna and Freshwater Marsh habitats. Those registering will receive additional details about the tour. Must provide own transportation to and from tour site. Register early, as there will be a limited number of spaces. Directions to Grand Bay: Take exit 75 off I-10 and turn South on Franklin Creek Road. Go south to Highway 90 and cross onto Pecan Road. Cross over the railroad tracks and continue down Bayou Heron Road for approximately 1 mile. Young Professionals Social Crooked Letter Brewing Company will open just for MFA members and guests on Thursday evening. Enjoy samples of their craft beer and a tour of the brewery while you get to know other young members as well as seasoned forestry professionals. Limited space. MFA Silent Auction So that more MFA meeting attendees can participate in the Silent Auction, MFF will close the Silent Auction bidding at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday evening. Please plan to visit the Silent Auction on Thursday afternoon during the Free Time so you will be ready to close your bidding that evening. However, the card raffle and door prize drawings will be held on Friday morning during the breakfast and membership meeting. Golden Nugget Conference Center The Conference Center is located in a non-smoking area of the Golden Nugget Hotel. Complimentary valet parking is available at the front of the hotel. Self-parking is available to the east of the hotel and also underneath the conference center. For those not staying at the Golden Nugget, your most convenient parking is under the conference center and is accessed by taking an immediate right just as you enter the Golden Nugget drive.
