She congratulated Imm. Past Chairman Ravi and his team, and the other seniors of HRC for raising the bar so high. Spelling out her HRC Team s and the National agenda for the term 2014-16, she said, Every great journey and adventure begins with a premise and a promise. This year s National Agenda is the Panchatatva or the 5 truths Ideate, Invigorate, Innovate, Integrate and Disseminate, which will be the core philosophy that will drive our organization for the next two years. As part of the National Agenda, the primary focus for the upcoming term will be the promotion of Indian art and crafts. The vision 14-16, she stated, has been incorporated for everyone; including students, trade, sponsors and the masses. But major emphasis will be to bring the young designers to the forum. Taking design to the masses is a part of our National Agenda and would work towards this vison. At the Chapter level, we hope to create a bigger impact at exhibitions and will take part and lend support to other allied organizations, she added. Close to Ms. Chatwani s heart is the CSR initiatives which will be worked on aggressively, focusing specially on 4 5 6 the lost and forgotten arts and craft of Telangana. We will be working with artisans and craftsmen; going to their workplace in towns and villages; with the idea of reviving and documenting the craft and facilitating its sales. She also added Another important CSR activity would be working closely with government agencies revamping an entire stretch of street in Hyderabad. As a designer, an important responsibility of ours lies in documentation and archiving. We will be setting up a subcommittee for the documentation of heritage homes. We will be setting up different subcommittees and we look forward to all of you members being a part of these committees. She ended her inspiring speech by promising that the next two years will be a whirlwind of a celebration of design for the Hyderabad Chapter.
