Open Board of Directors Seat Due to the resignation of Brian Heiden there is a vacancy on the Board of Directors. The Board will accept letters from members in good standing wishing to serve their community as a Director. The term will be for the remainder of the year and the seat will be open for election at the next July Members Meeting in 2010. All letters must be received in the office by Friday, September 11, 2009. Interviews will be at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 12, 2009 prior to the Board Meeting. Steve Bryant I would like to thank all of you who participated in our recent Annual Meeting. I thought the meeting went quite well. The Election Committee consisting of Chris Van Pelt, Carol Neal, Pat Graham, Claudia Pelfery, Sharon Shonicsen and Carol Majewski derserve a heartfelt Thank You for a great job that they handled swiftly. All of the absentee ballots were handled under the supervision of our committee including Carol Majewski and Elaine Carrasco, our Secretary/Treasurer. All absentee ballots were mailed directly to the post office eliminating any possibility of doubts of tampering. Thank You to all for a great job! We have two new board members who are eager to begin. I would like to welcome Directors Dorothy Nalepa and Kevin Dombrowski. There is an awful lot on our plate this year and it is our intention to focus on the following: collection of over due assessments placement of liens We intend to pursue these focus areas aggressively. A very small number of individuals have been turned over to a collection agency. This is regrettable but necessary. It may also become necessary to develop collection policies for White Birch. We have members who are familiar with this process and it is our intent to ensure that all members are paying and not just a few. We have a beautiful association with wonderful facilities and we expect all members to be in good standing. Even with summer coming to an end, we can always look forward to the beautiful colors of autumn at White Birch Lakes.

Dawn Holzer The Workampers, Kathe and Lee Viller s will be leaving us right after Labor Day and I wanted to tell them what a great job they have done for our Campground. Even though they were use to more activity at the campground with camping, etc they enjoyed themselves and met lots of great people. This plan worked out great for the Association and the bathhouse maintenance is excellent. We will miss you.thanks for your visit! So with that, I d like to mention some improvements we can make to help our Campground stay in the same condition as the Viller s will leave it. Please don t take your pets in the bathrooms. Be sure to flush the toilets after use and don t steal the toilet paper or other supplies. This is your Campground. Please treat it with pride and help out when necessary to keep it clean. Very simple to do, we all pay for it. I have posted several committee sign up sheets and volunteer sheets at the clubhouse. Please take the time, if you are interested, to volunteer on these very important committees. Stop by the clubhouse to see what you would be interested in. There also will be a very special and fun event at the Labor Day potluck on Saturday, Sept 5 th at the Pavilion @ 1:00 P.M. with Board participation. So mark your calendars and bring a dish to pass. You won t want to miss this one..trust me. The Fall Garage/Bake Sale has been approved and it will be Saturday, September 19 and Sunday September 20 from 9 3 each day. If you want to sign up, I have the sheet in the clubhouse and $10 per household please. Baked goods will also be needed like the Annual Meeting donations. Awesome job on that. Thanks for all the support I have had from everyone, it sure is appreciated.

Fall Garage Sale White Birch Lakes Recreation Association will be holding another garages Sale on September 19 th and 20 th from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. For those interested in participating there will be a $10.00 fee for the newspaper advertising, balloons and maps. It will be held at the bus stop. Anyone wishing to donate baked goods please contact Debbie at (989) 588 4637.
