Brief History Model Farm was built in 1869 by William Loyd, a wealthy City Banker who lived at the Manor House in Langleybury; he bought Langleybury Manor (built 1725) and Estate from Edmund Fearnley Whittingstall, a Watford brewer, in 1856. In the late 1940 s Model Farm was purchased by The Earl of Dudley to become part of his Great Westwood Estate. At that time it was a wellknown shooting estate and guests included King George Vl & The Duke of Windsor. This was subsequently purchased by The Hon. Anthony Cayser. The current owners bought Model Farm from The Hon. A. Cayser s estate.
