THE LEGEND OF THE FITZGERALDS The history of the Belles Rives begins with a discovery: the "Lost Generation", composed of a disenchanted youth and artists broken by the First World War, heads to the South of France and invents the Côte d Azur. It s here that he writes his masterpiece, "Tender is The Night", transforming Villa Saint Louis into a resort for wealthy Americans discovering the pleasures of wild partying and swimming in the sea. A life lived at night, with Champagne, extravagance, sweet decadence and the Fitzgeralds make Juan les Pins the place to be, in vogue, where the jet-set of the era like to slum it while cultivating a certain idea of modernity. It s in 1929 that the villa, seeped in history, becomes the Belles Rives hotel. At the same time, a thousand miles from the Mediterranean, Boma Estène breaks with his native Russia and goes off to discover the "City of Light", Paris, and then Antibes, making his life-long dreams come true. The Belles Rives, the first hotel on the water along the Côte d Azur, is born.
RESTAURANT GASTRONOMIQUE Newly designed in 2016, our Michelin Star restaurant La Passagère evolves around the sea and the sea only. The restaurant s dessert menu will still include a sugar blown dish called the pearl in blown sugar shell, the signature dessert from Pastry Chef Steve Moracchini, who was awarded the 2016 Pastry Chef of the Year from Gault & Millau. Its terrace is one of the French Riviera s most attractive places to enjoy an elegant Mediterranean cuisine. At the Piano Bar Fitzgerald, time stands still in this place where elegance and fine lifestyle walk hand in hand.
A magic cove nestled at the beginning of the Cap d Antibes, the Belles Rives Beach embodies the soul and the atmosphere of Francis Scott Fitzgerald s Tender is the Night. The club provides a terraced sun-deck, a sandy beach, a jetty with private boats dock and water sports, a lounge bar and a restaurant next to the water. Summer flavoured dishes with a Provencal influence are proposed everyday at the Beach Restaurant : grilled fish, salad bar, scampi skewers all accompanied by a chilly glass of rosé wine!
