Tourism Victoria e-engagement buy in What is Wine Food Farmgate? Wine Food Farmgate is the most extensive wine and food promotional campaign ever created on the Mornington Peninsula. The totally integrated, multi-faceted program brings together key wine, food and farmgate experiences to drive mid-week and off season visitation, increase length of stay, number of places visited and spend. It has already generated more than $750,000 worth of media coverage and won the gold Destination Marketing award at the 2014 RACV Victorian Tourism Awards, as well as silver at the 2014 Qantas Australian Tourism Awards. The program is open exclusively to MPRT tourism partners that offer a food and wine experience as part of their business. The MPRTB heavily subsidises the campaign expenses as food and wine is a key destination tourism strength of the Mornington Peninsula. This keeps costs down for participating businesses, and ensures maximum campaign impact for the region. In 2015-16 Wine Food Farmgate will be showcased through the following key regional marketing activities: WEB & ONLINE PROMOTION The web portal www.winefoodfarmgate. com.au will include an improved social media direct feed from the Wine Food Farmgate blog and social media platforms through using #winefoodfarmgate to engage social media profile building. The new web format will include expanded searchable themes eat, sip, forage, shop, tour, learn. A series of online seasonal ezines wil be developed with editorial and content to inspire media and consumers to get on the trail, plus seasonal enewsletters to be sent to our dedicated Mornington Peninsula subscriber database.
