Information for Exhibitors and Sponsors The 74th Annual Meeting of the German Geophysical Society e.v. (DGG) will take place in Karlsruhe from 10th 13th March 2014. It is organized by the Geophysical Institute of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). We expect approximately 500 participants to the largest meeting of geophysical experts from German-speaking countries. In particular, the conference presents a platform for young academics. Among the participants of the meeting will be decision makers in charge of purchasing equipment and requesting geophysical services. Therefore, the DGG Annual Meeting is an ideal opportunity to present your products and services to the scientific community and meet clients and potential customers. In addition to the exhibition the meeting offers several occasions for direct sponsoring. This also is an excellent option to advertise your company The event relies on support from companies like yours. The fee for the booth and a possible donation will be an important contribution to support the activities of the DGG. It allows us to keep the registration fee down such that students can participate for a reduced price. Exhibition The Meeting will take place in the lecture buildings of the Faculty of Physics at the Campus South of KIT, close to the city center. The company exhibition will be located in the central part of the conference area (in front of the lecture theaters, building 30.22). The booth space can be chosen to 5 m 2 or 10 m 2. The price per 5 m 2 booth includes the conference fee for one company representative (incl. participation at the conference dinner) and the booth itself with one table plus chair. There is no extra charge for internet access and power supply at the booth. Your participation will be listed on the conference website and in the conference proceedings. In case you would like to have your company logo appear on our homepage, or wish to have an advertisement printed in the conference proceedings, please contact the chairman of the organizing team. If larger booth space or if poster walls are required, please contact the person responsible for the exhibition (see below). The company exhibition will open on Monday, 10th March 2014 at 5 p.m. and continue until Wednesday, 12th March at 5.30 p.m. The deadline for the booth reservation ends on 08th January 2014. The location of your booth depends on the time of registration, the booth space and the number of previous participations in the annual meetings of the DGG and will be placed by the organizing committee. Many participants of the conference are young academics about to complete their university degrees. A lot of them are looking for a job in the industry.
